Mike Mountain Horse was born in 1888 and died in 1964. Mountain Horse wrote My People, the Bloods with the help of Burkitt and was later prepared by Dempsey for publishing. Mountain Horse was a Christian, but felt a considerable pride in the past of his warrior people. His book is devoted mainly to tribal history.
