William Least Heat-Moon , 1939-

William Least Heat-Moon, who is of English-Irish-Osage ancestry, is an author who is particularly known for his award winning (and best-selling) travel writings. He was born in Kansas City, MO, and received a PhD in English Literature from the Univ. of Missouri at Columbia in 1973. He currently lives near Columbia, MO.
