Abortion Pro-life and Pro-choice
There are a lot of people that are against abortion. Some believe there are very few reasons that condone abortion. Most pro-life people though believe that abortion takes away lives that are not ours to take. Pro-choice activists on the other hand believe women should have the choice whether to carry the child or not. The pain-capable unborn child protection act enacted in 2010-2011 prevents abortion after 20 weeks. After and some even say before this a fetus can feel pain said to be greater than what we can feel. this act is only enacted in five states being Nebraska, Kansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, and Alabama. There is only one exception to the pain-capable unborn child protection act, that exception

pro-life activists do not like this fact. If D.C does not enact the pain-capable unborn child protection act they will get in trouble with the federal government. Pro-life activists do protests at abortion clinics. Sometimes the what are supposed to be “peaceful” protests get out of hand. On the other hand people that are pro-choice or that support abortion believe it’s your choice whether you terminate your pregnancy or not. Some people are neither pro-life or pro-choice. These people believe there are some exceptions to not wanting to allow abortions. Some of these reasons are health issues, if the child is not developing properly, or if the child was conceived by rape. some pro-life people agree with a few of these reasons. Some people that are pro-life do not agree with the fact that rape should be an option if the child was conceived by rape. They believe the mother should carry the child to term, and if she doesn’t want to keep the child just put it up for adoption. pro-choice people don’t agree with this. Pro-life believe that it’s not fair because once that child finds out he/she will wonder why the mother didn’t want them, or the mother if she decides to keep the baby there’s chances that the child could be abused or neglected because of the circumstances under which the child was conceived. Pro-life still believe adoption is a better idea under those circumstances. Who knows what big things that child could do in the future and you’re taking away the chance for them to become
• Pro-choice argues: o The fetus is not a human until after the first trimester o Cases like rape or incest should be allowed for abortion o Abortion can take a toll on a person life and should be available because some parents are not financially stable or mentally prepared for a child to come in their life. • Pro-life argues: o The fetus is a human as soon as it’s conceived o Adoption could be an alternate for abortion so no life is taken and the child goes to a family that will love and take care of it. o Tax dollars shouldn’t be used to pay for abortions if all citizens don’t support or have the same views on
In places where safe, legal, clinical abortions are illegal many women perform them by themselves at home, which is very risky and can result in severe infection, and even death. The pro-life stance on abortion is the belief that abortion is equivalent to murder. The ideology behind the stance is based off of
Pro-life is defined as being opposed to legalized abortion. Pro-choice is to believe that individuals have unlimited autonomy with respect to their own reproductive systems as long as they do not breach the autonomy of others. A pro-choice affirms that celibacy and abstinence, contraception use, emergency contraception use, abortion when it is done in the first two trimesters of pregnancy and childbirth must remain legal. (Christian,2011) When we think of abortion, the first thing that we think of is killing of an unborn innocent child. I am against abortion, but I guess everybody has the right do to whatever they want and whatever they feel is best for them.
One side of the argument is Pro-Choice, this is the side that is for abortion. This side believes each woman should have the choice to do what they want with their body, this thought process is what spurned the Roe vs. Wade case. Pro-Choice focuses strictly on the women who is pregnant. The idea that it is their body is a valid point, the idea that not all pregnancies are planned or even wanted is another point that the Pro-Choice movement will argue to defend their side of this abortion debate. Pro-Choice feels that the women’s civil rights are being violated by not having the choice to decide for themselves.
They are afraid of taking responsibility for a new life. After deeply analyzing both positions, I decided to be pro-choice. It was not an easy decision because there are various factors that play a role in keeping or aborting a baby. We are humans that make mistakes. We all approached both sides in a respectful way.
On one side of the argument people believe that it 's wrong to kill an unborn child because all life is important regardless of if there born or not. Often the people who are “pro life” are also Christian or belong to another
Often times recently people who believe in pro-life do not care about the child after they are born. Their lives are not cared for past birth. Pro-birth is a new term has been made for people who believe in the banning of abortion but not any of the legal aid to help the children and their families after the child is born. With the introduction of the term “pro-birth” pro-life’s meaning is slowly evolving. It is not only pro-life but “pro-woman, pro-adoption,
But pro-life advocates argue that when a woman is pregnant, there is another body involved. They argue that the unborn body has the same rights as any other person and has the right to live. Pro-life advocates believe the presence of human life alone defines personhood. An unborn baby is a person just like everyone else that walks on the earth. They may be inside a womb and depended on their mother but they are still people.
Before choosing sides, one should understand what it means to be pro-choice. Being pro-choice means that you decide what gets to be done with your body. Humans are not perfect creatures and should not be expected to make perfect decisions. Sex is thought to be an exciting, fun and sometimes unexpected act. Sex, is thought by some to be only done when both people are ready to conceive a child, yet sometimes that is not how things happen.
People who are pro-life, believe abortion should not be legal, while some people believe that the fetus is not a living person therefore it should be legal. There are also people who are in the middle, they are neutral, they are neither for or against abortions. If abortion is illegal then it will still happen. Women would still find a way to still have abortions but, they will be taking a greater risk in having them done. Abortion affects many people.
In recent years, the debate between “pro-choice” and “pro-life” has become a well-known topic of discussion filled with heat and passion; nevertheless, the question of whether one should consider themselves pro-choice or pro-life should only be asked after one has done their research and knows the true definition of each term. The Oxford Dictionary defines pro-choice as “advocating legalized abortion” and defines pro-life as “opposing legalized abortion”; however, it seems people are unaware of these definitions. The slogan of the pro-life cause as showcased on ProLife.com is, “Helping moms, saving babies, ending abortion!” While this does address their thoughts on abortion it adds two more
Abortion World wide Abortion has been a controversial issue. Whenever the topic of abortion is brought up their are mixed emotions, from all types of people, all over the world. People pro-life think even if abortion was made easy or painless for everyone, it wouldn’t change the bottom line problem, that abortion kills children. Meanwhile people pro-choice think being pro choice is trusting the right decision for herself and her family, and not entrusting that decision to anyone wearing the authority of government in any regard. Who is right though?
There are two sides to this debate in which individuals identify themselves as either “pro-choice” or “pro-life.” Supporters classify themselves as pro-choice, and argue “that choosing abortion is a right that should not be limited by governmental or
The two sides of the debate are pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-life is the people who do not like the idea of abortion. They claim that life begins at conception and that abortion is murder. They also say that the fetus can feel pain during the abortion and that it is unfair to families that cannot conceive on their own that are waiting to adopt
A controversial debate over a women’s right to terminate a fetus. Abortion, a hot topic for those who are pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice debate that abortions should be legal, and believing it’s a choice for a woman to make, not the government. On the other hand, pro-life defends that the fetus is living, and termination means murder. In January of 1973, the Supreme Court took on Roe v. Wade, which established a women’s right to have an abortion with state regulation.
