He is seen as one of the most controversial characters in his time with drama coming from all sides. Later leading to his death. With his created of the first Bank of America and all his policies he can be credited for America’s strength when it comes to finances. His deal to let the south (at the time), have claims to the capital but in return have his way with his new plans. The capital was to keep the economy prosperous on many levels. Since America was growing rapidly Hamilton was advised by the french prime minister to keep government bonds instead of statebond just to keep safe. This plan helped America majorly. I can’t be denied that Alexander Hamilton was an economic genius, he was indeed a man with a plan. In the text Roberts tried to make counterclaims to the arguments and picking out the flaws of his plan. Obviously there would be flaws to any big plans and they are only room for improvement from then. Alexander Hamilton is a visionary thinker never the less, and that was claimed to him by many. Hamilton’s system of favoring the city over the countryside in the economic system helped us leap forward and make us more enlightened and more tolerant . A truly utopian
ALEXANDER HAMILTON Alexander Hamilton was an important figure in the making of America. Alexander had a rough childhood but through it all, he rose to the top. One of Alexander's many accomplishments was creating the financial system our government uses. Also, he worked with the first president of the United States, George Washington. Alexander Hamilton had many accomplishments, like fighting in the Revolutionary was but he also had some rivalries.
In result, Hamilton's plan led to our modern National Bank today, it as well led to a clear distinction between Federalists and Democratic Republicans. Hamilton’s plan did fix the economy, while
Although it can be argued that Thomas Jefferson’s government policies were better than Alexander Hamilton’s, Hamilton, overall, had the better policy because of his persistence to progress, his federalist beliefs, and his understanding of the issues with Jefferson’s trust in the common man’s morals. Thomas Jefferson can be described as a leader who lived in the present*, whereas Alexander Hamilton had his vision set on the future of the country. He saw America’s strength lying in its commerce, and saw industry, trade, and manufacturing as forces of progression. In order to fuel the nation’s success in the global marketplace, a strong federal government would be needed. Hamilton supported a powerful central government because he recognized that
Hamilton believed that wealthy Americans would provide political support to the government and his plan in general would help pay off the debt to merchants who they owed most of their debt to. However, the debt would have to be paid by through taxes by the American people. Hamilton thought money and wealthy Americans would solve all of their problems concerning debt, and that in result would secure the government. Unfortunately, most Americans were not the wealthy
Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of Treasury of the United States, had a lot going for himself being a man that came from poverty to success, and he was a man “all powerful and fails at nothing which he attempts” admitted a congressman in 1791 (Tindall and Shi). Born in the Caribbean in the West Indies, abandoned by his father and orphaned at the age of 13 by his late mother who had died. Later moved to New York, became a lawyer and transitioned to nationalism thus giving him the important role of handling the weight of the debt America had accumulated $54 million deep after the Revolutionary War (Digital History). Hamilton saw the need for some financial credit to be given to America and he had the right idea by proposing a National Bank to his first president George Washington. Alexander Hamilton was a Federalist. He believed that having a strong government creates a strong country. Hamilton was striving to make this country’s national government strong. His way of doing this was to develop a financial plan to re-establish the credit of the US by ending the nation's debts. He wanted other countries to see that this country was strong.
People and events have influenced much of our history, but none are as influential as Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton may not be as well-known as some of the other important figures in history, such as Washington, but he deserves partial credit for how our country is governed. Hamilton not only fought in the war for our independence from Britain but created the financial system we still use today. He is considered the founder and chief architect of the American financial system. One of the most significant contributions Alexander Hamilton gave to our American economy was the creation of a national bank.
Who is Alexander Hamilton? He is a founding father who isn’t really in your average history book. He isn’t even from our country yet he still didn’t care. The major parts of his life were his childhood, the revolution, and then what happened after the war. Hamilton’s childhood played a big part in his life.
He was able to combine an idea and politics. Hamilton is the reason the two are so closely tied together, and in doing this, he is known as the man who made modern America. He also envisioned America to have large debts, military force, and a modern economy with the large government. This is why Hamilton is probably the only who would understand America today. These are just some of the examples that Wood gives throughout the book that entail the difference in the Founders and todays
Hamilton’s understanding of a successful economy allowed him to make decisions that would benefit the country. As discussed in source one, Alexander Hamilton created a uniform currency and an economic plan that would assume state debts and make them federal debts. From there on, he created a national bank; in source three Hamilton states, “... [The Democratic Republicans] were determined to oppose the banking system, which would ruin the credit and honor of the Nation”, as he clearly has the nation’s best interest at heart. The Democratic Republican feared corruption, but they overlooked that their rights are protected in the Constitution and

Alexander Hamilton was a heroic and bold man. He was born in the West Indies and from his early life, the odds stacked against him. His father left when he was around the age of ten, and him and his mother got very sick. His mother did not survive but Hamilton did and then moved in with his cousin who later committed suicide.
