15 year old Hannah Spellmen was announced dead on August 14 1909 in Bridgeport. After 5 months of investigating the trial was closed because the only clue that was left was her drawing book but all the pages were blank. Hannah was known for her dark grey eyes. 87 years later it was warm spring and 15 year old Emily Martin found herself in her mom 's room looking for shoes to match her dark grey eyes only to find a musty box. Reports, newspapers, articles all about a girl who disappeared and under all that was a drawing book.

In the story “Liberty” the girl could not give her name or her location. That’s because if she did that she and her family could be found and get killed. The setting is at a country and her house (unknown location). The charters are the girl Mami and Papi and the dog Liberty. Mami and Papi are waiting for their visas so they can go to the united states of America.

Everyone has an imagination whether in depth or simple. Imagination is just a reflection of one's free spirit inside that cannot be shown on a regular basis. “The Centaur” by May Swenson shows a girl’s expression of her free spirit contrasting with the constraints of normal, everyday life.
