He was only 13 years old in the comfort of his home in Sighet, Transylvania, until the Nazis invaded and began tearing his life apart. Once Elie and his father get to Auschwitz, you'll see Elie's survival chances fall, due to carrying his fathers weight, only dragging him further down.

The book Night is a memoir written by Elie Wiesel. This memoir is about Eliezer, a young Jewish boy, and his experience of the Holocaust that killed about 12 million people. Weisel used conflict to convey the central idea not to be blind to the truth. One of the characters in the book is called Moshe the Beadle. He was a pauper who roamed the streets of Sighet, Romania, the town where Elizer lives.

The book “Night”, written in 1960 by Elie Wiesel, is an autobiography that shows his experience with his father Shlomo during the Holocaust in the Auschwitz and Buchenwald concentration camps. This book is very popular and controversial due to its accurate account of the horrors which occurred during the Holocaust. Throughout the book, Elie Wiesel shows the themes “ Humans are capable of unimaginable evil” and “ The bond between a father and his son is very important” using deep symbolism and word choice.   In the book Night, Idek is the leader of Elie and his father's work unit and is known by many Jewish prisoners for his frequent bursts of rage.

The Holocaust happened between the years 1933 and 1945. Elie was a survivor of the Holocaust and wrote this memoir of the tragic events that happened to him and other people. In the first three chapters of this story, Wiesel tells about the way his life was changed and he was dehumanized and left with nothing of his old life.

Hitler killed and tortured many innocent people, and gained a following known as the Nazis. World War II lasted six years in Europe, however many people didn’t anything about it for years. Today people have technology and can communicate with others in a matter of seconds. However in 1939 this technology was not available and that lead to people being in the dark to what really was happening. I think the world didn’t do anything because they were scared and thought it was unbelievable or because they didn’t know in the first place.

The Holocaust was a very terrible history of Germany, this happened many years ago, and people in Germany were ashamed of what they did. The Holocaust started in January 13, 1933 and end in May 8, 1945. During that time Jews were sent to concentration camp. Elie Wiesel, the author of the book called Night, he was one of the Jews that got sent to the concentration camp. During that time, he had a very terrible experience in the concentration camps.

From 1933 to 1945 millions of Jewish people were dehumanized and treated like everything but a human being. After the Holocaust, it was discovered that 6 million Jews were killed.

Eliezer Wiesel, also known as Elie, was born on September 30th 1928 in Sighetu Marmatiei, the Kingdom of Romania (Hungary at that time) - July 2, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts, is a philosopher, writer, Jewish political and humanitarian activist and author of many books. " Night", which was written in 1960 is his memoir of those years living in Nazi concentration camp during the First World War when he was under the age of fifteen, a book honoring the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize. The love is real in any situation, throughout the book is the story that Elie witnessed and what had happened to him during his years in the concentration camp and in those cruel situations. ---Rough Draft--- While we probably all know that the Holocaust was a horrible stain on the fabric of society, Elie Wiesel's book shows that the acts of the Nazi's are more horrible towards the Jews than some of us may have been led to believe. Elie originates from a town known as Sighet located in what was previously known as Transylvania. Though Sighet was not part of Germany or Hungary, they were still abused by the SS soldiers, by trapping them in fenced off ghettos. They also soon transported them in a terrible cattle car ride, and treated them like slaves. But the meat of the story takes place in the concentration camp(s), where they are given minimal amounts of food and judged like dogs to see if they are worth keeping.

Night is an account of a young Jewish boy’s experience during the Holocaust, who is on a quest to survive, despite his weaknesses. He overcomes a period of darkness to see light again. The book summarizes the horror of the kid -a witness to the death of his family and friends, innocence and holiness. As Elie Wiesel struggles to move on with his life, along with his father and the other captives, he is desperate to find hope in the life or death situation. Elie Wiesel was settled in Sighet, a little town in Transylvania, together with his parents and three other sisters in 1941.

As people we try to have good morals but, when faced with a horrific event, such as the Holocaust our morals tend to change. The memoir Night is a true story based on Elie Wiesel, a boy who survived the Holocaust. Elie and his father, Shlomo, went through almost two years of torture in different concentration camps until his father eventually passed away. Elie had to endure so much pain at a young age. In these camps, the dark and angry side of humanity was truly exposed.
