The Night is a book that catches your feelings when you open the book, and is written by Elie Wiesel. Elie Wiesel is a man that survived the holocaust in Auschwitz. He was born September 30, 1928, and died July 2, 2016. In his book Night, he explains his experiences at Auschwitz. As the book continues to come toward the climax when they arrive at the camp, Elie Wiesel starts to lose his faith.

Night is a very heart-wrenching memoir written by Elie Wiesel. Elie was born 1928 in Sighet, Transylvania which is now part of modern-day Romania (The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity). At the age of fifteen he was transported with his family to Auschwitz. His mother and younger daughter perished while in the labor camp, but his two older sisters survived. During the Holocaust about 500,000 to 750,000 people were murdered due to their religion. Elie Wiesel was one of the people who survived this tragic event and wrote Night to bring attention and to inform about how it happened. The book Night is a nonfiction book about how Elie Wiesel lived in the town of Sighet as a child and was put into a concentration camp. He was put in a concentration camp because he is Jewish and was growing up during World War 2, when Hitler ordered the extermination of all Jewish people. This book is well written and fits all of my criteria for what makes a book worth reading.
