MILLERSBURG — A Newcomerstown man last week denied criminal charges he was in the possession of drugs and a gun during a March traffic stop. Kristopher L. Lanning, 31, of 420 Pearl St., pleaded not guilty in Holmes County Common Pleas Court to trafficking in marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and turning at an intersection. If convicted, Lanning faces up to 18 months in prison for the most serious offense.

As Trinity Western appealed to the Divisional Court for judicial review, the Divisional Court upheld the LSUC’s decision to deny accreditation. Clarendon County, South Carolina — Briggs v. Elliot: Began in 1947 when Reverend Joseph Albert DeLaine wanted free bus transportation for his three children. Initially targeting equality and not integration, Marshall visited and in 1949, 20 plaintiffs demanded equal treatment across the board in transportation, buildings, teachers' salaries and educational materials. The case was named Briggs after the first plaintiff in alphabetical order and Elliot was the chairman of the school district. There were 47 black students in a class, to 28 white. There were no bathrooms or electricity at the black schools.

He spent much of his early adult life as a drifter, spending time in and out of prisons for nonviolent crimes. ”The Petitioner within the case was Clarence Earl Gideon.

The case that Stephen G. Breyer that he was really active in was United States v. Lopez. This case a twelfth grader bring a gun to school. “[He was] charged under Texas law with possession of a firearm on school premises.” (Tobin 96) The state’s charges were dropped when federal agents accused him of breaking the Gun-Free School Zone Act of 1990. The Boy ended up getting probation.

The case that i choose was Roper V Simmons. Roper V Simmons is about a minor Christopher Simmons and how he was charged with burglary, kidnapping, stealing and murder in the first degree. Before he had committed the crime he meet up with his 2 other friends that were younger than he was, John Tessmer and Charles Benjamin. Christopher and Charles went through with the plan but John did not, he was there for the “plot” of the pan but not actually present when they committed the crime. The crime that Simmons and Benjamin committed were breaking and entering the Crook residence, they broke in from the back door and when they turned the light on to steal they woke up Mrs. Shirley Crook they tied her up and threw her over the bridge where she was

Stanford v. Kentucky Stanford vs Kentucky is a supreme court case that caused major controversy. This court case was argued on March twenty-seventh of 1989 but was not decided until June twenty-sixth of 1989. This court case is based on a murder trial that was committed by Kevin Stanford in Kentucky. The court cases No. is 87-5765. This trial was difficult because the killer was only seventeen years old.

The efforts Edina Broward made to research about her stolen painting will probably considered as diligent efforts which prevent statute of limitation from starting to run. Ms.Broward tried to find her stolen painting by many means. First of all, The police was notified by her as well as a private investigator was hired to help to find the stolen painting.
