The buildings are leased, but all the stores are entirely owned and operated by Tesla. The retail locations double as service centres, where customers can get maintenance and repairs done. Moreover, the company operates a network of 11 of its proprietary superchargers that allow Tesla car owners to quickly charge their vehicles. To further expand its charging network, Tesla has partnered with local companies to offer additional chargers at select commercial locations.
3. Analysis of Tesla in the Dutch business environment
The following section will examine the rationale behind Tesla’s mode of business in the Netherlands using the OLI Framework proposed by John Dunning (1988). The framework covers company-specific (ownership) advantages, location-specific (locational) advantages and business mode (internalisation) advantages. According to Dunning, analysis of these 3 aspects can be used to determine whether or not a firm should engage in FDI in a specific country.
3.1 Ownership advantages
Tesla has a number of ownership advantages that it can leverage when conducting business internationally, namely: intellectual property, existing partnerships, vertical supply chain integration and availability of

The government is established after national elections held every 4 years. As the political landscape is highly fragmented, coalition governments are the norm. Moreover, the political system relies heavily on consensus-based decisions regarding important issues, working closely with labour unions and industry associations. The current government has invested heavily in infrastructure as well as tax breaks for electric vehicles (RVO, 2017), which could stimulate Tesla’s business. Moreover, the Netherlands achieves high scores across a range of indices that rank the country’s national factors in relation to other countries. Transparency International (2016) has ranked the nation #8 in the world in its Corruption Perception Index, showcasing a low amount of corruption. Furthermore, the country is ‘the most globalised’ in the world, with a score of 92.84 in the KOF Globalisation index (ETH Zurich, 2017). This signals a high degree of political openness to global economic, social and political integration. Likewise, The Heritage Foundation states that “Openness to global trade and investment is well established, and the overall regulatory environment remains transparent and efficient.” (Index of Economic Freedom, 2017). Lastly, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs has established an agency that promotes and facilitates foreign direct investment (FDI) into the Netherlands. The Netherlands Foreign
In the beginning of this simulation I bought three different types of stock. I chose the stocks I did because I wanted to risk a lot, hoping to make a lot. I bought 5 shares of Tesla Motors stock for $205.29 per share, 4 Shares of Panera for 208.97 per share, and 1 Share of Johnson & Johnson for $106.54 per share. The $31.13 that I had left I put in a U.S. Treasury Bond. As you may noticed I bought some of the more expensive stocks, I did this because i thought that because they were more expensive the price would fluctuate more.

Nikola Tesla’s inability to let any obstructions interfere with the success of his ideas, dreams, or goals proves that he possessed a great amount of grit and should therefore be perceived as a hero. Once again, World of Physics exhibits Tesla’s call to action in response to a roadblock in the path of his dreams. Tesla tried to interest the city’s mayor and several of his wealthy colleagues in his design for an alternating-current motor that would eliminate the need for a commutator. In response, the mayor and his friends rewarded Tesla with a few bottles of 1801 St. Estéphe wine but gave no financial support...
Nikola Tesla is known for his amazing intelligence. Three of his most shocking inventions show this. One of Tesla’s most revolutionary inventions is the AC induction motor. Tesla had to figure out several equations for the invention of the induction motor. This was no problem for Tesla, as he could do calculus in his head.
Corruption can be defined as an abuse of power that it is being trusted for the reason of private gain. It can vary and be put into three main categories, which include; grand, petty and political. Corruption is a global issue, and around the world its perception is seen as something potentially dangerous, and something must be done. According to Transparency International’s perception index of corruption (CPI), out 176 countries and on a scale of 0-100 where 0 is the most corrupt and 100 being the most transparent possible, Colombia is the 94th country with a score of 36. This means that Colombia is one of the most corrupted countries, along with most of Latin America.
Governments should adapt to this shift, whether if it’s a permanent or a
Henry Ford revolutionized the car industry in the 1920’s by introducing the concept of mass production to manufacture cars making them more affordable. The “Model T” prototype spawned an era in which freedom and independence were articulated through the ownership of the “Model T”. By todays standard, it had a simple design and function, it neither braked or accelerated quickly and didn’t handle very well. It could not nearly compare to even the most simplistic of cars today. Ford stated, “There is no need for further development in motorcars, for I have perfected the modern automobile.”
In 1963, a man named Thomas Edward John made it to the major league as a qualified basketball player. In about a decade, John grew professionally to become a world-class pitcher. However, in the middle of a brilliant 1974 season, John permanently damaged the ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching arm, which led to a revolutionary surgical operation. At the time, for baseball players who had serious damage and critical wounds, the prevailing alternative was far from attractive.
Hi, I am Nikola Tesla but you can call me Tesla, how much do you know about me [wait for an answer and answer appropriately]. I was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Croatia. I had suffered a mental breakdown but after that I ended up working for Thomas Edison in Paris. So that I could get closer to Edison I moved to New York to work beside him in 1883. Edison had challenged me to make his DC motor better and I did and Edison had promised me $50,000 but said it was just a joke, I was furious
Citizens of the Philippines, since the point of time, got used to corruption. Constantly, been the dominant issue of the country. If Tesla goes into other countries ' markets, its marketing team may be conservative. So its marketing plan will be more careful and will require more time to run the program. In this way, Tesla can ensure appropriate returns and stable growth rates. Because it takes a long time to make a marketing plan, it will delay the entry of Tesla into new markets. In addition, if Tesla launched marketing plan is conservative, it will reduce the competitiveness of Tesla and make it difficult for the local people
Analysis: Tesla has proven to make an extensive impact in the market. Keeping the company’s position in the high-end industry, Tesla is able to represent just like companies like Apple a high-end product that appeals only to a certain customer base. Tesla is constantly innovating their product in a way that the newest technologies will be incorporated in the production process of the car and the products the companies develop itself too. Tesla is the first major company to have inherited an electric car only automobile production company, which is nearly impossible considering the weak demand for electric cars today. Most car manufacturers today only devote a small part of their product line to electric cars, meaning that they do not want to take the risks of completely changing to electric only cars as fears of reducing the demand for their products is real and because there is still more demand for conventional petrol driven cars.
Furthermore, Tesla also has opened a factory in Tilburg, Netherlands to catalyse our expansion plans. Tilburg being near to the Rotterdam port and further located in the heart of Europe was the main reason behind choosing it as a preferred destination. The role of this plant is to import vehicles and make sure that the supply meets the demand. Other than that, it also handles operations for the Europe and other neighbouring countries. ("Tesla Factory | Tesla Motors") Type of warehousing We at Tesla use Breakbulk warehousing for our operations.
This is because companies are hesitant about investing in countries where corruption is abundant since the costs of undertaking a successful business are eloquently higher. Even though some affected countries abundant in natural resources, the population still does not benefit from the money earned. To summarise what has been said corruption thwarts citizens, countries and organisations from adhering to their full potential. A short time ago, in 2016, criminal gangs in Latin America were administering a successful business in illegal gold mining. The conditions of this area were terrible, as it was “a huge encampment scarred by deforestation and mercury-filled pools – was dirty, desperate and dangerous: food and water were scarce; malaria and yello.w fever were rampant; and trafficked girls as young as 12 worked as prostitutes in the surrounding bars.”
