Cindy Anthony contacted 911 and mentioned that she hasn't seen her two year old granddaughter for almost a month. She made that call on July 15, 2008 and also stated that she would like Casey Anthony charged with taking a vehicle and cash. Casey really found pleasure in lying to the cops and did not show any feelings about her daughter Caylee missing. The Florida grand jury accused Casey of false information to police four times, aggravated child neglect, homicide of a child, and first degree murder. These charges were on October 14, 2008. Just a few months later on December 11, 2008 Caylee's remains were found in an area of thicket not far from the Anthony home. Casey Anthony was going to be facing the death penalty for the murder of her daughter, Caylee on April 14, 2009. Since there was a lot of attention with this case the jury was picked from a neighboring county by the name of Pinellas, but the trial took place in Orange County where the offense happened. During the trial the jury was confined until the case was completed (Hails, 2013).

After several days of no communication and concern about Travis Alexander’s wellbeing, a couple of his friends went to his residence in Mesa, Arizona. They did in fact find their friend but he was lying in a pool of blood. One June 9, 2008, Travis was found with many wounds, including a slit neck, multiple stab wounds and a gunshot in the head. On June 20th, 2001, Andrea Yates killed her five young children Noah, John, Paul, Luke, and Mary in the bathtub of the family’s home in Houston, Texas. The family was Caucasian, and at the time of the crime, Noah was 7, John was 5, Paul was 3, Luke was 2, Mary was 6 months, and Yates was 36. Yates’s husband Russell “Rusty” Yates was at work at the time of the crime. Yates killed her children as a result of her post-partum psychosis and other mental illnesses that had been developing throughout her life. After she finished the murders, Yates called the police and then called Rusty to tell him to come home.

The prosecution presented that Casey Anthony did research on chloroform at her home computer but her mother Cindy Anthony 's asserted that it was her that made the searches that implicated her daughter but the records showed that Cindy Anthony was at work when these searches were done. On July 5, the jury found Casey not guilty of first degree murder but she was found guilty on four misdemeanors because she provided false material to a law enforcement officers.
