You always learn a lot more when you lose than when you win. While still dealing with this disappointment and frustrations, an older and sympathetic friend by the name Russeldolf, invited me to work with him in a computer center he prepares to kick off in a week time. I resumed immediately while installations and other tremendous preparations were still taking place. I became fascinated by the growing trend of mobile and computer technology with all its wonder devices that works like white magic. The skills and technicality in the installation, the assembly, the networking, the programming, as well as everything else, greatly intrigued me. I love and admire the professionalism of the engineers who worked on site to install all the information communication and technology …show more content…
Yet my new dream to become a Computer Engineer was all the more swelling exceedingly so much so that I could not put-up with it. I remembered saying to myself many time that, ‘reaching this one is going to be a must, with or without a parent, an aunt or anyone else’. I made plans to go back to school again. This time to study Computer Engineering Technology. This was a major point in my life. You see, I have always wanted to be a doctor. It was my childhood dream. Nevertheless, I do not have to be fanatical here. I needed to face the reality that if I was not going to miss out on making a success of a satisfying career altogether, I must make a redirection to my goals! To prepare for the odds, I took up some other useful trade, I could use to support myself, as a driver and a barber. I also acquired skill in basic computer operations through a six months computer course on MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist) in which I was certified by the end of the program. Working with the computer makes me feel practical and
If you want to be a doctor, fight for it. Learn how to turn a bad situation into your favor, and be a role model for others like you. Show that it is possible for minorities like us to reach the “impossible.” If you quit now, you were never sincere about becoming a doctor.” She said exactly what I needed to hear, and I returned with a new fire ignited within me.
In third grade, I was assigned to create a project illustrating what I wanted to be when I grew up. At this time, due to my positive experiences with doctors and my desire to help others, especially children, I decided to describe the role of a pediatrician as my future career. Throughout my childhood, whenever asked about my future aspirations, I confidently declared that I would attend medical school and become a pediatrician. However, as I developed, the answer to this question slowly began to evolve as I gained a deeper understanding of my values and the people I desired to serve through medicine.
I always knew that my dream and goal in life was to become a physician. I remember saving patients who were in dire need with make- believe doctor kits I toyed with as a child. The whole experience was very real to me then, as it is now. Ever since I was young, I wanted to alleviate people’s pain from sickness and disease both from the mind and body. Society has a much greater purpose destined for them but being inflicted with afflictions and diseases is not one.
This understanding has allowed me to grow tremendously. Without a doubt, this process of maturing has prepared me for the rigors of medical school. There will be many new challenges even some of the worst of experiences or things will fall apart, but I know that things will get better if I take them one step at a time. With this in mind, my aim is to become a doctor who is able to stand in her patients’ shoes and be sensitive to their symptoms and try to meet all of their needs and particularly those beyond their illness. I look forward to making my dreams a reality and await with pleasure the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to improve the lives of others through
I had always worked with computers but had never considered how they worked. I found the material fun and engaging. I felt as though I could create anything from the cascading amplifiers used in radios to the IR trip alarm that I made in the class as a side project. I kept asking myself why more people did not do things like this, how many more people were missing out on this great discovery that was given to me, through the instruction of the TCAT Newbern campus. During my stay at the Newbern campus, I placed second in the State for electronics, had achieved my CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Net+, through just ONE class alone.
When I was growing up, I always wanted to work in the medical field. Freshman year of high school, I joined Student Athletic Training at my school because it exposed me to medical injuries in high stress situations. Even though I was working with an athletic trainer and loving it, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do; I switched from wanting to be a pediatrician to an oncologist and then an orthopedic surgeon. I settled on becoming an OBGYN because I had just watched my sister give birth to her son. I thought that delivering babies had to be the most important job because I’d be taking care of new life.
My interests in technology did not come until later in my life; when I attended my first engineering and technology workshop. Back in the summer of 2012 I was accepted into the Rowan University’s Boys Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) Program. Throughout the event I was in awe and fascinated by what engineering had to offer. We built bottle rockets and constructed penny bridges, but what stood out to me the most was the hands on experience with computer programming.
College and Career Essay During this school year, the senior English class has done several researches over multiple careers and colleges. However, they didn’t realize how many opportunities they got to choose from. As everyone read and gathered information, they began to narrow their choices on which college they'll eventually attend. Most people will start schooling once they graduate high school. Meanwhile, they're several interested in becoming an Ultrasound Technician, a Physical Therapist or a Dental hygienist.
College is a remarkable journey and when I think about what three things initially motivated me to start college, what three things will keep me motivated to keep going to graduate, and how will I stay motivated throughout my coursework? Many things come to mind. Some great examples include my son, fiance and success. Let's read further to find out why!

Although most small businesses have a website these days, they usually do not have the budget for hiring an IT specialist to manage their website, update content and remove obsolete / out-of-stock products. Simona Koleva Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to this wondrous fairytale world we call “life” where everything is possible! Or is it? … A few months ago I started to think about what I wanted to be when I grow up. A doctor?
Since I was in my childhood I have high curiosity on how and why things work. I have this unsatisfied feeling until I know why and how it 's happening. My dad always told me the same about me. I still remember how I spend the whole day looking for what make the pedestal fan to swing and I opened up its cover to see the motor and gear rotating and for me it 's fascinating. He used to bring me along with him in his nearest four wheel drive park where he taught me many things about four wheel vehicles.
Hence, the importance of further studies is highly valued by the author. It is crucial for him to pick up a local scholoship in Singapore, which willallow him to proceed with National University of Singapore (NUS) attaining a Masters of Computing. Figure 1: Roadmap of career development Subsequently, he would be serving a 5-year bond with the sponsored company, learning many crucial industrial skills along the way. However, this is insufficient, as Mendelson (2000) and Bandyopadhyay (2009) have identified, the IT industry is a rapid-moving with new tech rising ever so often.
Being good in science, mathematics and having a natural inclination towards programming since early school days has shaped my future ambitions. With a strong determination and a focused goal to become a software engineer, I pursued the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information
