Specific Purpose: To commemorate Mickey Myers
Thesis Statement: As the principle of Bogue Chitto High School, Mickey Myers was admired by many people in our community; the adversities he was able to overcome are an inspiration to all.
I. Introduction
A. Attention material: Imagine having your life planed out. You are married to the woman of your dreams with three children. Then your wife suddenly gets sick and dies of cancer. Not only did my high school principle go through this very scenario, but he also did it with a smile on his face while changing many lives in the Lincoln County community.
B. Credibility Material: Growing up witnessing his every daily life, I am able to tell about this very man.
C. Relevancy Material: The commemoration of his life and the tragic struggles he went through in his personal life is enough to inspire us to never give up and to always stay positive throughout our lifetime.
D. As the principle of Bogue Chitto High School, Mickey Myers was admired by many people in our community; the adversities he was able to overcome are an inspiration to all.

It was always the little things that made Mickey stand out. He might not have become rich or famous throughout his lifetime, but he was always making people smile everywhere he went. When building our new gym at Bogue Chitto the school board requested to name it in honor of Mickey, however; being the humble person that he is he declined. Coach Myers was just recently elected as the superintendent for Lincoln County. He received about fifty three percent of the votes, beating West Lincolns Principle Jason Case. I hate to see a great man like him leave my high school alma mater, but I know that he will make a tremendous impact on the county as the new
