To understand communication needs and have good communication skills helps successful working environment, communicating with colleagues, health professionals, residents, and their families. In my working place I am providing communication in a variety of different forms: progress notes, Care plans, risk assessments, policies, handovers, accident forms, etc. Therefore, possessing good communication skills is essential in my role and also, I need ensure the best interest and of those under my care, and supervision met. Communication is a tool with which we exercise our influence on others, bring out changes in our and others’ attitudes, motivate the people around us and establish and maintain relationships with them. Communication makes a major part of our active life and is a social activity.
People communicate in both personal and professional capacities for a variety of different reasons. In a work setting people may communicate to build relationships; maintain relationships; gain and share information; gain reassurance and acknowledgement; to express needs and feelings and to share thoughts and ideas.
Share knowledge and ideas with others is critical for modern advancement and to make room for new ideas, especially as our technology stacks become increasingly complex and specialized. Sharing what we know not only helps others in our organizations, but it also helps our own careers
The job description had me nodding my head! I have always enjoyed reading, writing, proofing, and editing. Being a perfectionist, having things done correctly has always been important to me. I do agonize over things until they 're just right, when most people would say it 's good enough. I would love a career where being 'too picky ' is a good thing!

When communication was use, it was clear and concise, however I noticed a couple times communication was lacking. One to one communication: One to one communication is a conversation between two people; which does not include a third person. This type of conversation has a start; which means the conversation has to start off with a greeting, one to one communication al so includes a middle section, which is when you and the person discuss the topic or of what your both going to be speaking about. This particular type of communication also needs an ending, for example when the conversation is coming to an end you can end it by saying “good bye” or “see you later”. P4- when looking at strategies and communication techniques used with different individuals with different needs whom need to overcome different challenges many aspects must be looked at. A challenge Patrick may face may be awareness and knowledge, he may face this as well as others. Patrick may be aware that he has HIV however he may not be aware how much this will effect him and he may not be aware how to deal with it as he may lack the knowledge. In order to overcome this Patrick could educate himself in depth on HIV, this will help him come to terms with it and will also help him to help others understand HIV. For each setting analyses the advantages of verbal and nonverbal skills and their overall effectiveness. Communication and interpersonal interaction plays a very important role in personal and professional lives. Effective communication and good interpersonal skills helps us in forming good relationships with people around us. In the health and social care effective communication helps in building the trust between the patient and career.

In particular, communication can affect the relationships with service users and other colleagues. When effectively communicating with colleagues, managers or health professionals, will ensure that ideas and opinions are understood. In a care setting, it is a requirement to use teamwork and communicate effectively.

As a carer I discuss the options and the choices available to the individual to allow them and informed choice regards to their care. 1.3 - Explain ways to manage challenging situations
It is important to understand effective communication when working in health and social care. Communication should be clear and understood by the person you are having a conversation with. It is important to consider verbal communication as well as non-verbal communication and should be adapted to the service users’ ability to understand the conversation. Factors that affect communication are the location of the conversation and noise levels. To consider if the conversation should be private or to have a conversation while carrying out an activity together.
This could be to specific group, for instance a support group for deaf people, teaching service users or for meetings. In group communication, every individual participating will try and get their personal ideas and thoughts across, especially if they disagree with a point raised (Storming stage: Tuckman group communication theory). In health and social care, group communication is mostly used in a meeting arrangement, as it allows a number of different agencies or care providers with in one agency to focus on particular aspect of care, or on a service user and the care that currently being provided. Communications between Colleagues not only on a one to one basis but in a group setting is key, to everyone working successfully, the performing stage of Tuckman group communication theory. Within a health and social care an absence or lack of tolerance and understanding for fellow employees might create a negative emotional atmosphere, it may only personally affect two people, but will ultimately affect everyone working with them, and possibly decreasing the level of care to their service
Communication is described as the interchange of information, thoughts, and feelings between individuals using dialog or other methods (Kourkouta, & Papathanasiou, 2014). Communication between patients, nurses, and other healthcare professionals can influence the patient outcome subsequently, understanding what establishes an effective communication will be beneficial for nurses and other healthcare professionals. Good communication is a skill commonly listed on a Curriculum Vitae, it is a requirement in most professions, but how many of us possess the ability to communicate effectively irrespective of the situation or environment? Communication is ”the imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing, or using some other medium”(Oxford University Press, 2018). However, to do so effectively one must transmit, interpret, and adapt their method of communication to suit the situation or individual. This essay will explore the theory of Transactional Analysis and relate the model to a personal experience. Through reflection, I will demonstrate an understanding of my cultural influences, the impact these have on my communication style and how I can improve future interactions by applying the principles of Transactional Analysis in my approach.
The two key topics in class in the last weeks, for me. Two of the most relevant topics developed in the last weeks were: non-verbal communication and the barriers to communication. Everytime we communicate with another person or group of people, we have to take into account some factors other than what we are actually saying that can affect how the message is going to be received: body language, tone, intonation, facial expressions, and others; this is what we understand for non-verbal communication. As we saw in class “55% of communication is body language, 38% is the tone of voice, and 7% is the actual words spoken.”
Introduction: The process of communicating successfully with our family, friends, co-workers, business associates and people is one of the most critical skills. Communication is such a key part of life that I often tell to a person that “Its no use of someone if he/she really don’t know by associates people in their work place or area of field”. Communication makes us to be known of others, good or bad that depends on usability of a person communication. And, it is up to each of us to learn to communicate well with those who are important to us.
