Comparing Tale Of Two Cities And The Kite Runner

This is my writing assignment comparing The Outsiders movie and book. My favorite quote was“Stay gold Ponyboy” which means Do not go tuff and stay like yourself because you are once in a lifetime. My opinion of both the movie and the book are pretty good. The book was only a little better because it was longer and it had more parts on the other hand the movie you can hear and see more and feel more when you can actually picture it.

My final is about the difference between the book and the movie “The Outsiders.” This next paragraph is about the description difference between the book and movie. Then the paragraph after that will be about the description of the background or cars that the characters drive or live in. I think that the move and the book where basted of the same story but I think that when the directors made the movie with some different cars or house that can change the movie or they put different things in it so that the movie will look better. Altogether the movie and the book were pretty good and had good meaning to it about want to think of life and it’s alright to not be tough and hard.

The Giver and The Maze Runner share some similarities and differences. They both are dystopian societies and are set in the future. Often in literature, comparing stories will lead to revelations about human nature. Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games both share a motif of being trapped and take human nature to another level. Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games prove that working together and looking out for each other will give you a greater shot at victory. One very significant similarity is that in both books the characters are trapped on an island and fighting for their safety and survival. In Lord of the Flies, school boys, Ralph, Roger, Simeon, Piggy, Jack and along with other kids are trapped on an island and have to fight for survival, but, after a while of being on the island the civilization starts to die and so do the boys from violence and lack of communication.

The similarities and differences: Cultural Settings In novels, cultural and social setting can affect characters and the story in many ways. The social period of a story usually influences characters’ features, social and family roles, as well as sensibilities. In The Kite Runner, the story compiled of a mixture of Western culture and Afghan traditions while in Pride and Prejudice, the author displays the late eighteenth-century Britain and the Regency culture. Both of the novels, Kite Runner and Pride and Prejudice do correspond on certain things despite the differences they have in cultural context.

Ray Bradbury and William Golding have very similar themes in their books. All the way from human interaction and social conditioning. Lord of the Flies consists of a story due to the lack of social conditioning and Fahrenheit 451 portrays what it's like after too much too powerful social conditioning. Connecting the overlapping ideas of social conditioning, knowledge, identity, and truth in these two novels leads to a better understanding of human behavior.

Stephen King, a famous writer once said, “Books and movies are like apples and oranges. They are both fruit, but they taste completely different.” Truly, this applies to all movies and books. This quote is effective describing the novel and the movie, A Raisin in the Sun. Although the two share similar scenes and acts, the movie shows a lot more details which make it better.

In the novel the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini he illustrates the sacrifice one gives for love. Over the course of the novel Amir, Hassan, and Baba all face dramatic events that shape them to the person they are. Each one of them sacrifice a piece of their own happiness for the one they love. Hassan is loyal to Amir even though in their childhood Amir was not a good friend. Baba sacrifices his life in Afghanistan for Amir to have an education in America.

In America, we grow up in a society that grooms us to become a successful and happy adult. A society in which people are able to say and do what they want. This freedom that comes with growing up can be too much to handle. As we grow up we start to realize the flaws in our society and the flaws within ourselves. This pressure to remain happy can have various effects.

Sacrifice, one the most prominent themes in Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, clearly determines a person’s unconditional love and complete fidelity for another individual. Hosseini’s best-selling novel recounts the events of Amir’s life from childhood to adulthood. Deprived of his father’s approval and unsure of his relationship with Hassan, Amir commits treacherous acts which he later regrets and attempts to search for redemption. These distressing occurrences throughout his youth serve as an aid during his transition from a selfish child to an altruistic adult.

As humans people naturally become more independent with their lives. Growing up, people move away from their parents, and any bonds that once sustained from the past slowly diminishes. However, the past does affect ones future, and some attachments are so deeply woven inside the fibers of beings that moving on seems nearly impossible. In the novel A Tale of Two Cities written by Charles Dickens, Dicken uses Doctor Alexandre Manette inconsistent character development to suggest that self realization is the only way to overcome a crisis, which express that all people should rely on themselves rather than search for others in order to achieve recovery.

The Kite Runner and Persepolis Essay What would you do if war broke out in your country? The Kite Runner is written by Khaled Hosseini and Persepolis is written by Marjane Satrapi. Both the books are about how the Islamic revolution affected the characters.
