Oscar Collazo and Gruelio Torresola were two Puerto Ricans that had attempted to assassinate President Truman. They had arrived in Washington D.C. the day before the Bronx in New York City. The reason that they had decided to try to assassinate Truman was because they thought that it would draw more attention to Puerto Rico and advance the Puerto Rican independence. In the morning they had prepared for the assault. Torresola was a very skilled gunman, and had taught Collazo how to load and handle a gun. They had planned to shoot at the house from opposite directions and shoot their way in. Collazo and Torresola had a gun fight with some of the policemen that were in the white house at the time. They had wounded three policemen but had never
Lewis Powell and George Herold, both apart of Booths Gang were on there way to try and assassinate secretary of state William Henry Seward. Harold waited outside with the horses for the escape and Powell went inside to attempt assassination. He got very close to killing Seward, he stabbed him and cut him all over. But what were the odds that Seward did not die. Everybody thought he was dead so news started spreading fast about the death and assassination.
They ended up finding two men who they thought was the two and killed them. Caputo, along with one of his Marines, was tried for the murder of the two boys that were executed under Caputo’s orders.
Before that, there had been earlier raids by the administration of President Wilson and he easily considered an expedition across the Mexican border. The secretary of war Newton Baker was ordered by Wilson to organize the expedition and pursue Villa. Wilson then tried to appease Carranza by asserting that the raid was conducted with a careful consideration of Mexico’s sovereignty. Nevertheless, the Mexican president considered Wilson’s raid as a violation of Mexico’s sovereignty and he therefore refused to assist the US in its expedition (US Department of State, 2009,
The men had broken into the Democratic National Headquarters. As the investigation continues, suspicion of the White House being involved in the robbery grows. For example, as Bernstein is doing research on the men involved in the robbery, he discovers that one of the burglars, James W. McCord was a security coordinator for the committee to reelect the president. The reporters also notice that during a press conference, Nixon says that the White House was not involved, “on this particular occasion”. By following up on suspicions of White House involvement, Woodward and Bernstein are seeking the truth, and making sure that Nixon's administration is kept in line.
16 Americans were killed. Both sides had different view on the attack; Mexico believed the United States invaded, but the United States believed Mexico invaded. But alas, the United States did not have valid reasons to go to war with Mexico; even after this. The United States was not justified in going to war with

You have to believe you deserve the power and control over everyone. It's all about power, they all want power and they all want control because they think the deserve it. The assassins kill to get power and to take in away from the presidents who worked to earn power. “It is the story of this self-made man’s collision course of two of the most self-serving, self-centered self-absorbed egomaniacs of the late nineteenth century- Garfield’s nemesis, Senator Roscoe Conkling, and the assassin, Charles Guiteau. The Garfield assassination is an opera of arrogance, a spectacle of greed, a galling, appalling epic of egomania dramatizing the lust for pure power, shameless and raw” (Vowell 125).
Brian Hernandez Prof. Cicirelli CM-115-02 11/30/15 JFK Assassination Many conspiracies have taken place within government, but none of them have been more serious then JFK assassination. When JFK had fired its director and other agents, the CIA was scared that Kennedy would take down the CIA permently, he believed to be an extremely terrible agency under the government. The shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald, who was in the marines at one point was planted into the biggest CIA camp somewhere in the Asian pacific and had been wanting to attend the CIA. Apparently he was the guy for the job. Many critics say that Lee Harvey Oswald might have been brain washed by the CIA.
Murdering McKinley After reading Eric Rauchway’s novel Murdering McKinley, I believe that his main argument was to say that President McKinley’s assassinator, Leon Czolgosz, was not insane and that his possible insanity could not have been what drove him to attempt the assassination. Had Czolgosz been declared insane in a court of law then he may not have been held fully responsible for his actions. That being said Rauchway also went to a great length to prove that Czolgosz sentence was not due to his Anarchist beliefs and he did describe everyone’s fear of Czolgosz going down as a martyr.
My entire life has changed due to my kindness. Therefore, should I no longer be kind? Why offer my assistance to others if the outcome is penalization? These questions torment my mind; do I acknowledge what's happening around me, or should I just drive by? All I wanted to do was help people, and now, all I do is suffer.

In the book “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote, Capote blantly describes the murderous acts of two men who killed an entire family they knew nothing about. The Clutters were good people who had no intention on hurting anyone. Dick and Perry, the murderers, had no reason to do this, meaning they had no motive for these actions and they can not be excused for their actions. In the beginning of the book, Capote introduces everyone to the Clutter Family, and a few pages further into the book he introduces everyone to Dick Hickock and Perry Smith.
Confident Relationships Built on Language Wouldn’t it be exciting to grow up learning more than one language? Imagine being in Japan for a week on vacation with a group of friends, and one day decided to go to the oldest zoo in Japan, Ueno Zoo. To get to Ueno Zoo, riding the bullet train was a necessity, except knowing which line was the correct line, when to get off the bullet train, or even which ticket to buy was a daunting task. Nobody in your group has the confidence to ask the workers for help since they don’t have the knowledge of Japanese to help them.
