In 2004 it was published by STACKPOLEBOOKS. This book is a collection of essays that describes eight Confederate generals. In this collection of essays the reader is presented with a new perspective concerning the decisions and lives of these eight Confederate generals. In this book the reader learns that without each general making the careful decisions they did the life many Americans know today many not exist.

“To call the flag ‘heritage’ it’s to gloss over the ugly of the history. People say that the Confederate flag is racist but it 's not, it 's a battle flag. The flag been here longer than the America flag, only black people thinks that it’s racist and some whites also. Between the two flag, they look like the same but they are close the same. In the war they friends were killing their friends because it was against the North and the South.

During the civil war, the confederate flag was used to symbolize the southern states attempting to secede from the Union. But to some, it symbolizes slavery, racism, hate and also, southern pride. Fast forward 200 years, and the flag is still to this day, being flown in the deep south. Should It be accepted to fly the flag of former enemies of the United States? The North had the majority of the factories, resources, men, and railroads. In order to set its separation in stone, the Southern states tried to introduce a new dollar in addition to continuing to hold slavery to a higher standard.

To say the time period following the Civil War in the United States involved a lot of change would be a understatement. Between the years 1870 and 1900 the people of the United States lived through a period of great change. Not only did they witness technological advances that would change their daily lives, they also saw new laws and organizations formed. All of this was done in hopes of improving the country. Many of these changes came about because of the type of businesses that were formed.

The Confederate Flag One of the most debated topics throughout American history is about what the Confederate flag represents. Some people believe that it represents Southern pride, while others see it as a sign of hate towards African- Americans. The Confederate flag can be used as a symbol of white supremacy, but can also be seen as a tribute to fallen Confederate soldiers. The American Civil War started on April 12, 1861, killing nearly two percent of the American population and dividing the country like never before, the cause of this war remains up for debate. Careful analysis historical, economic, and social factors leads to but one conclusion, the American Civil War was fought on the grounds of slavery.
