Cover Letter: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated

I can contribute my knowledge of social justice and ability to be a community servant to this organization. My long-term life goal is to become a hospital owner in multiple underrepresented areas and foreign countries. Being a community servant, one can build character while helping open doors or provide opportunities for those who are less fortunate. I’ve read the many articles of the large groups of Alpha men graduating from Meharry Medical College, that have had such a huge impact on the surrounding communities by giving a helping hand when needed. I wanted join Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. sense my sophomore year of college. I want to have the brotherhood to help me grow intellectually, socially and intellectually. All these things I want and support I have seen in various moment through my experience with the brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,

The first notable member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated that really sticks out to me is Umzae George Washington Carver. He was initiated in the Gamma Chapter in the year of 1918. To begin I selected him, because he was a very familiar name. I remember learning about Umzae George Washington Carver in the elementary and middle school. With creating over 100 different uses for the peanut, soybean, and sweat potato he was a very prominent African American man in the 1920s.

“Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave. I rise, I rise, I rise.,” to become a Delta Woman. When asked to express why I should be awarded the honor & pleasure of being apart this great sorority; I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed but also very humbled. However, I am reminded of the great women Delta Sigma Theta has helped mold some of the most influential women in the world.  I want to be apart of the most illustrious sorority organization.

My intention is not to join this organization to step or because I like to party but, because I believe whole-heartedly in the values of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood. I believe that through Zeta Phi Beta Inc. I will be able to fine tune my leadership skills, make lifelong friendships and help people on my journey as others did for me. It is my hope that this lifestyle will change my life for the better.

Our task is endless.” Jewel Henry Arthur Callis. Since its founding Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has remained loyal to its ideal of providing advocacy for its community.

I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.

Dear the National Honor Society selection committee, Thank you for the great honor of being invited to apply for membership to such a well-respected and incredible organization. I am very excited about this opportunity as it presents an optimal way in which to further my passion of expanding my mind and bettering my community. Since I entered high school, I have pursued this by taking all honors classes and any Advanced Placement classes offered to me each year. Although sometimes I was not always entirely sure what to expect walking into each class, and of course there have been classes I like more than others, there is no class I regret taking because each and every one has opened my mind up to a new way of thinking.

I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. I am so thankful to the many teachers who have considered me as a candidate for the National Honor Society. As I aspire to become a member of this organization, I will make it my duty to be an active member in my community and will maintain my leadership, service, character, and scholarship

Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship.

At Western Michigan University, there are many micro-cultures.  One particular micro-culture I want to belong to is a sorority by the name of Delta Sigma Theta, incorporated.  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, 103 years ago, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is the largest African-American Greek-lettered organization.

To the women of the grad chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated: The purpose of this letter is to inform you of my interest in becoming a member of the grad chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. My desire to inspire young men and women and make a significant impact on their lives is just one of many reasons I aspire to join your great sorority. While growing up at a young age my mom worked out of my sibling lives. I did not have many positive female role models I could look to for guidance in different situations.

SIGMA KAPPA SORORITY STANDARDS COUNCIL Purpose/Goal The purpose of a standards council is to work with the chapter members to maintain high personal and group standards through positive reinforcement, appropriate discipline, and member education. A positive standards program is dependent on the standards council, the vehicle through which all standards programs are delivered.

I want to be a recipient of the Delta Sigma Theta Chapter of East Point/College Park because I believe i exhibit the values of what Delta Sigma Theta was founded on. I also have always considered being a Delta or get an opportunity to be in something as great as a Delta Sigma Theta program. My goals include be accepted into a college or university, obtain as many scholarships as I can, and graduate with honors. Currently, I have been accepted into approximately eight schools and most offered scholarlship amounts that vary.

Explain your interest in joining Phi Delta Epsilon-MA Alpha Chapter. * I want to join Phi Delta Epsilon because it would provide me the chance to build lifelong connections and gain networking opportunities. Most importantly, I see myself forming a bond with other members, studying and sharing memories of what it’s like to be a premedical student at UMass Boston. The ability to connect, strive for success and learning from others with the same goal to attend medical school is what I’m truly seeking as a hopeful applicant of PhiDE. Joining the fraternity is the beginning phase of my strenuous road to become a successful physician.
