Dear Dr. Hein,
I wish to apply my skills and knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry to the Research Assistant position in the Hein Lab at the University of British Columbia for the Summer of 2023. My career goal is to conduct exploratory research while educating and instilling passion in young individuals as a research professor of organic chemistry.
Presently, I am completing my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Life Science, and Environmental Science at the University of British Columbia. I have conducted four months of research in Dr. David Perrin’s lab on the synthesis of trifluoroborate compounds for radiolabeling, and I am currently in Dr. Glenn Sammis’ lab building a substrate scope using thionyl fluoride. In both labs, I quickly learned the techniques needed to run experiments by taking detailed experimental notes. This allowed me to function independently in the lab while also consulting my graduate supervisor when I am admittedly unsure of a situation. For example, after being taught how to dry-load a column, I referred to my notes and, on my second attempt, I was able to complete it independently while asking my supervisor for tips on how to improve my technique.

Furthermore, I want to be in a work environment that is dynamic and changing. Organic chemistry is a field with discoveries that constantly have researchers evolving and optimizing their techniques. This allows me to continue learning and expanding my knowledge so I may be a lifelong learner, which is another one of my goals as I am interested in becoming a research professor in organic
Since coming to State Office, I have had the opportunity to gain valuable experience within the Policy Unit. As the CSE Manager 1 of the Policy/Quality Control/Non-IV-D and Central Registry that knowledge could be put to work for Child Support Enforcement. In addition, I would have the new opportunity of using prior management experience to further the agency. With this letter, it is my hope to illustrate that I am not only the best candidate for the job because I can do it; I am the best candidate, because I have successfully performed many of the tasks which are led by this position. Here are a few examples of those tasks: • I have worked to Implement Legislation passed during the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Legislative Sessions, which required
I will have attended and participated in all vocational counseling activities as noted by my MRS counselor. I will have continued treatment with my doctor. I will have participated in a BNU evaluation to identify the accommodations I need to be successful on a job. If necessary, I will have worked with a division rehabilitation specialist with BNU. I will have cooperated fully with all job development and job placement activities, so I can obtain a job.
To whom it may concern: Hello, my name is Pamela Baldwin and I’m interested in your opening position, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I’ve enclosed my job information, which you will view further into my portfolio. I believe that I am meant for this position. I’m a hard worker, I am very determined, and I always give a hundred and ten percent when it comes to doing anything.
The University of Arkansas has a thriving student population that combines countless cultural backgrounds. By living on campus, I’ve been able to learn about and appreciate various cultures and their practices, permitting new relationships to grow and prosper. Because of this, I want to be the one who facilitates healthy relationships among residents. Through these relationships, a positive and comfortable atmosphere would be created. I believe that personal and academic success is directly related to a good home-base, so I want to be able to create such a place for residents.
To: whom it may concern I am interested in seeking a career in law by becoming an attorney. My school, Ridgeview Middle School, is in partnership with your company. I wish to visit your office to obtain better knowledge in the study of law. Also, I hope to understand the standards required by a law firm to obtain a position of work.
I’m applying to Northern Arizona University to further develop myself as an ecologist. My passion for wildlife, especially herpetofauna has been in development since my youth. This passion has later transitioned towards a vision to conserve natural resources for future generations to enjoy. I believe that I have an amazing ability to find cryptic herpetofauna in diverse environments, and enjoy physically demanding fieldwork. When searching for rare individuals, I am motivated by the increased difficulty of the search.
Teagan Nurnberger Cover Letter DHH 350 For this unit, I wanted to explore what it was like to write lesson plans for a high school mathematics class. Algebra was one of my favorite classes in high school and I was interested in writing out lessons for that subject. I believe algebra is a very computational heavy course and I wanted to find a way to explore how to teach that and convey the rules in an engaging way.
As an incoming Junior, I was able to join a lab of graduate students who were researching brain development in drosophila after mutating its DNA sequence. Right away I was enthralled. I loved the endless possibilities that came with experimentation, even when though our results were inconclusive. My experience in the program also taught me to think independently as I was separated from my peers.
At the end of my junior year, I was given the option of applying for a number leadership position that would allow me, if accepted, to lead my classmates in the upcoming year. Positions ranged from Residential Life Assistants, similar to RAs in college dorms, to Attaches, students who aid in the Department of Institutional Advancement. While some of my classmates were torn on which positions to apply to, I was not. I knew that I wanted to be one thing, and one thing only. That being a Teaching Assistant for my all time favorite teacher, Dr. Bruno.
Picture it: the friendly resident assistant helping her resident when she has a tough problem. Maybe the resident is locked out of her dorm, or is having roommate struggles, or even just has general stress with school work. I would like to be that resident assistant helping that girl, and I feel that I could fill this potential position. Working as a Resident Assistant has many benefits and potential positive outcomes. Some of these include the ability to meet new people as well as getting to know them better, being a mentor to residents, and learning from the people you are mentoring or meeting.
As I was sitting in a microbiology lecture one day, the topic of central dogma and genetic sequencing came up, and I felt excited that I not only had some previous knowledge, but had firsthand seen how those topics can be used in research. I feel that my experience in the lab is preparing me for the science heavy semesters that lay ahead, as well as showing me what science looks like outside of the
I am currently a Resident Assistant (RA) in Noehren Hall at the University of Northern Iowa. I came to UNI with limited knowledge about the field of Student Affairs or the impact it has on college campuses. When I became an RA my sophomore year, I instantly fell in love with how I was able to use my passion to connect and build strong relationships with those around me. I currently am in my second year of being a resident assistant here at UNI in a traditional dormitory. I have also gotten involved in SAA here at UNI.
Re: Letter of Recommendation for Joshua Whiting To The RA Selection Committee: I write on behalf of Joshua Whiting’s application for a Resident Assistant position. I believe Josh to be an exemplary student-scholar as well as a person of tremendous character with significant leadership skills. I met Josh in my first semester of college in our biology class. We were both Biochemistry majors so we got to skip Biology 1 and therefore were both new to this new world of college but already in a group full of sophomores and students who had been in college for multiple semesters. Naturally we gravitated to each other due to this aspect we had in common.
Dear Dr. Cathleen Moore and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, I would like to be considered for your Graduate Teaching Assistant position that was posted on 10/31/2017. I believe that I would be a great fit for this position due to my experiences as a teacher and my academic background in psychology. One reason I would be a great fit for this position is because I once held what seems to be a nearly identical position in college. At Southern Illinois University (SIU), I served as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Psychology under the tutelage of Dr. Meera Komarraju. In this position, I led a discussion section for a similar number of students that were mostly at the freshmen and sophomore level.
This lab was extremely thought-provoking and gave me a concrete task to understand how and why we make the decisions we make throughout our lives. When I was reading the description of the lab, I was not quite sure I understood the directions. I really did not
