These soldiers were tried at Superior Court of Judicature, after three stressful weeks Captain Preston and six of his soldiers were acquitted but two of them were founded for manslaughter. The two guilty were Matthew Kilroy and Hugh Montgomery, these two soldiers were discharged from the military and had the letter ‘M’ branded on their thumbs for manslaughter. I believe that this horrible event occurred because of the King, the colonists were sick and tired of being bossed around. You can’t own guns, you can’t do this you can’t do that, the king kept restricting the colonies.

Life in the spring of 1838 was not pleasant for Atsadi and his family living in North Carolina with his small Cherokee tribe. During the trial, Captain Thomas Preston offered his account of the massacre. Captain Preston recalls the commotion outside of the Customs House. He says that there were unlawful threats being said to the British officers. He also says that some colonists brought clubs and other weapons, to be used to execute British officers. The officer felt that the colonists were indeed going to kill him, and so Captain Thomas Preston supposedly gave orders to the eight other officers to open fire into the crowd.

This caused the british soldiers to fight back in self defense. There also seems to be more liable evidence supporting that the colonists attacked the soldiers. There were many different accounts of what happened. Means that they are all telling the truth about what they saw.

When the resentful citizens of a British colony established on the continent of North America decided to rebel against their mother country, they wrote several documents, including the Constitution. James Madison was the main author, and over the years, the Constitution has become a symbol of the United States and what it stands for. The very first sentence, the Preamble, is important because it establishes the guidelines that citizens of this country try to follow. On January 1, 1834, Douglass is sent to live with Mr. Freeland. Douglass is grateful that Mr. Freeland is not a hypocritically religious man. Many men in the community profess to be religious, but merely use their religion as justification for their cruelty to their slaves. Douglass succeeded in getting some of his fellow slaves interested in learning how to read. This is a dangerous risk, since educating slaves is forbidden.

I would agree with James Madison because he was trying to help the people. He knew men where not angels at all and if they just behaved then they wouldn't need a government. See the government put down policy's when there is a problem going on. The reason why he wants a stronger government because there is more problems. If things where really that bad i would agree with that because it will never get better if they have strong policy's.

In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.

Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.

She appears very distressed, which would have affected the emotions of 18th century colonists who would have cared very much about a woman being in this type of horrid scene. The Chrysalids by John Wyndham is a post-apocalyptic dystopian novel about how the Waknuk people believe God has willed one race with specific characteristics. This race of people is determined by the ‘Definition of Man’. To keep this race unmixed, they eradicate all blasphemies and deviations. In doing so, they believe they are creating a perfect society when they are only causing innocent lives to be lost. Believing that one race is better than another results in conflict and harm to their own kind.
