Introduction Nurses job are getting more challenges now a days. Nurses are exposed to conditions where the increasing standard in healthcare needs to be taken at the same time handling and managing people with different background. To allow them to be effective in this environment, they need to be good in making decisions. Making decision is not as easy as it said but needs capability of thinking critically in complicated situations (Chan, 2013). They need a capability to see large picture, foresee the implication of the decisions made and also to actively seek for innovative solutions. Autonomous played important role where these abilities of making decisions and taking action in their personal and professionals’ (Rodwell, 1996). Critical thinking can be defined as a capability to manipulate thinking skills when it involves in critical thinking activities and it includes ‘defining the problem’, ‘judging the credibility of information’, ‘making accurate suggestions’, and ‘making rational value judgments’. Critical thinking also does not mean the whole activity is just carried out by thinking, however, it is the process that leads to the outcome of a compressive decision. That is, one must be willing to suspend judgments until one truly understands another point of view and can articulate the position that another person holds on an issue. So this will help nurses come to rational decisions so this will make can act competently in practice. The nurses continually monitor their thinking; questioning and reflecting on the quality of thinking should be occurring in what they want to achieve in nursing practice.
