By the end of the war, the country was $160 million dollars in debt, a suffocating amount at that time. There were several foreign and domestic causes for this. Because Britain was such a powerful country at the time, many other countries wearily ceased trade with America. Things weren't much better on the homefront. Since congress could not formally impose taxes on the states to help fund the war, they had to ask.

The beginning of the United States was given a self-government that took it to a new heists of political and economic systems that would soon be established. The Election of 1800 had revolutionized the American system known as” The Revolution of 1800” which became a turning point resulting in a non-violent, peaceful transition of power in politics and foreign policies. The Election of 1800 consisted of two dominated political power, known as the Federalist and Anti-Federalist who both sought for unity among the people. However, the Federalist soon began losing their stance in the government because they supported a strong national government that distrusted the people in a ruling government.

The economic elements during the time period 1764-1783 played an enormous role in the transformation of America, and the deterioration of the relationship between America and Britain. Slavery, during this time, came to a complete elimination in New England after the Revolution, while in the South it remained deeply entrenched (Keene, 100). Although slavery had gradually come to a slow throughout the world, “taxation without representation” became the next big problem (Keene, 102). Social changes included Americans viewing blacks and Native Americans as equals

As a result of their revolution, the Americans got their independence from Britain and introduced enlightenment ideas into their government. The American government after the revolution was much different than the government before the revolution. Before the revolution the American people were not represented in government and had no say. After the revolution the American people became the government. People elected other people that they trusted to go represent them in government.

Impact of American Revolution through time Almost all aspects of the lives of Americans were somehow affected by the spirit of the American Revolution. The attitudes of American people towards religious life, women’s rights, voting and slavery were changed forever because of it. There was a drastic change in social and political life after independence.
