DBQ Depression Essay Draft There are many opinions on the Great Depression. The stock market crash was a big part of this problem. Taxes and tariffs on imports did not help either. What came after the crash was the bad part. The stock crash and tolls are what caused the Great Depression. After World War 1, the U.S. had countries that owed money to them. They were to act as a creditor nation and take in more imports than export. Just as William E.
