Dale Rochefort: My Michigan Hero

According to BrainyQuotes, Joseph Campbell once said, “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to sometimes bigger than oneself” (Inspirational Quotes). This applies to my grandfather, Charles Jones acts who spent time as a U.S. Air Force firefighter during The Vietnam War. He took action and became a fire chief, but now he refers to himself as an average person; however, due to his service he is a hero. Jones expresses heroism by overcoming the struggles of training. Once he was sent to the US Air Force Recruiting Office at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

My personal Michigan hero is Timothy J. Ott, my dad. My dad served in the Navy even before I was born, and when I was born. Even though my dad was out to sea for the first few years of my life, he really made up for it 100%. My dad’s greatest qualities have to be that he is very smart, tough, loving, cool, and is an extremely hard worker. When I’m having trouble on algebra homework, he helps me.

My personal Michigan hero is my seventh grade social studies teacher, Ms. Dokter. Though I am not a personal friend of hers, per say, she had a tremendous impact on my life. She made me laugh, told me that I could do whatever I put my mind to, and was an amazing educator. Seventh grade was tough for me at times. I was at a new school, and it seemed like everyone knew what they were doing except me.

First and foremost, heroes have a determined mindset that ordinary people do not have.

There are many amazing people from Michigan that have impacted me in some way, but there is one person that I really admire. Tyler Oakley is a 26 year old YouTuber who grew up in Michigan. Tyler is my Michigan hero because he is always positive and tries to make people happy with his videos. There are characteristics about him that people might dislike, but he shows everyone that being confident is all it takes to ignore the negativity. Tyler Oakley may seem like just another YouTube star to some people, but there is a lot more to him than that label.

Who is your hero? When inquired on who their hero is, one would presumably answer by possibly saying their mother or perhaps even their father; however, during the sixteenth century, the country of England considered their hero to be Sir Francis Drake and in the book The Hobbit, a children’s fantasy novel written by J.R.R. Tolkien, Thorin’s dwarves were found considering Bilbo Baggins their hero multiple times. Heroes, like Sir Francis Drake and Bilbo Baggins, are made every day. Even though they are from different times and places, they all go through similar paths, or journeys, to become the great people they are extolled for being. You may ask yourself what journey do heroes take to become the greats they are.

I personally think Johnny cade is the hero he saved and risked his life for those kids. Johnny was already going through a lot enough at home He is only 16 years old, but has already been beaten down by the cruelty of life. Johnny and Ponyboy had to run because he might if go to jail killing a rich soc. johnny already knew he was going to die so he wrote Ponyboy note. He risk his life without one regret that's what you called hero in my mind were all heroes but, in different ways show of a woman/men true color you see the faith in them.

“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of their strength, but by the strength of their heart.” A hero is a person that does something to help or they can also save someone 's life. One example of, being a hero is Darry because he takes care of Ponyboy and Sodapop. Another example, of being a hero is Johnny when he saved Ponyboy and the little kids. A further example, of being a hero is Ponyboy when he also saved the little kid’s life and when he wanted to take the blame for killing Bob.

Clench your teeth and wait " which she was frozen with fear but cared about him enough to stop and calm him before he got either beaten more or even killed Eugene Lazowski was apart of the polish army veteran who lived in the town of razwadow. Eugene and an old medical school friend which he reunited with after world war 1 made a vaccine that made a fake epidemic of typhus (which makes one test positive but has no symptoms or medical back lashes) and him and his friend gave out the vaccine to as many jewish families he could and when the germans came and gave all the jewish people physicals and tests they all were positive for typhus which scared the germans and caused them to put the town under quaratine stopped any of the jewish families or people go into concentration camps. Eugene and a old friend made a vaccine that fooled the germans into thing there is an epidemic this vaccine he saved 8,000 people from going which is he was found out or snarked on his family and him would have been killed and or tortured so he put his life and his families life just to save people who he didnt know.hero's come in all shapes, colors and ages anyone is a hero so with that said i ask who is the hero in your life and how or why are they your

My hero that I chose, would be Terrance Stanley Fox (Terry Fox), the reason I chose him would be because of his determination, courage, selflessness, and his goals. He was a Humanitarian, and athlete, and a Cancer Research Activist, he was diagnosed with malignant tumour in his right leg, and soon after that he decided to run for his Marathon Of Hope, which is a cross-country run, to raise money, and awareness for cancer research. After a while cancer spread to his lungs, “I’m gonna do my best, I’ll fight, I promise I won’t give up” were the words of Terry when he was being treated back in B.C. Terry found life more rewarding and challenging with his pain. He gave people with disabilities confidence and dignity. The Marathon of Hope Foundation

Heroes are all over the place but where is yours? Heroes are found in books, movies, and videogames but have you ever really stopped to think about heroes in your own life? To be a hero you have to be brave and you have to be willing to make a sacrifice. Johnny Cade from the book The Outsiders fits all those properties perfectly. Johnny Cade shows bravery in the fact that he was brave enough to fight the socs even after he got mugged by them.

Back in Alberta my mom had a garden. Although I didn’t help much with the growing aspect, I did help with the compost. Composting is something my family has always been into. In our old house we had giant bins where we would collect it in our backyard. We lived on an acreage so we had space to do this.
