While thumbing through the novel, I could feel the fear associated with the constant threat of deportation, and the anxiety of wondering if their families were going to be there when they returned home. When it was revealed that the boys had succeeded in winning the competition, I felt a physical wave of happiness and relief wash over me. This kind imagery and ability to translate emotion is essential in telling a story such as this, because a person truly needs to be able to place themselves in the shoes of those boys to be able to fully appreciate

How a character acts and what their personality is can describe their character trait. Sometimes characters are different in their traits, oftenly characters can be the same by changing or revising their own character trait. The protagonist is Doug from Okay for Now, by Gary Schmidt. Doug is a teenage boy that is struggling with a rough family. Doug 's father got a new job that was far away from his own town so, Doug has to adapt to the town that he moved to.

Janie was tired, Tea Cake told her to swim to a roof of the house but their was a mad dog. Janie couldn't go on top of the roof, Tea Cake cut the dog to save Janie but the dog had a chance to bit him on the arm. They arrived to a safe place and lived in a decent house, Tea Cake was forced to bury people who didn't make it through the storm. That's when Janie's world was turned upside down, Tea Cake was getting sick so Janie got a doctor. The doctor told Janie in private that Tea Cake has rabies and it was too late.

In the beginning of the story, she is a mean “princess” who doesn’t pay attention to the kids in other social groups, but as the story progresses, she shows her fun personality. The crash causes her boyfriend and best friend to change the way they treat her so her relationships with them change drastically. She is the main character and is also the narrator. Jake is Paige’s boyfriend who is a football player and is also alcoholic.

The main character, Jess, meets a wonderful girl named Leslie. Throughout the book, she changed his opinion of imagination, and he fell in love with her. Soon following this, they experience a fallout. Throughout the novel, Patterson displays themes of significant tragedy, grief because of the people stressing the tragedy, and the quest for identity.

Cole’s character profile Cole Matthews is a very troubled kid who tends to get into trouble, he blames everything that happens on anyone who isn't him. He always gets a "second chance," from his parents, thus he doesn't understand the concept of change. Cole is a cocky fifteen year-old who doesn't learn from his mistakes, and can't seem to notice that some things cannot have the blame placed on someone else, only him. When he ends up going to jail, AGAIN , after beating up a kid for ratting him out after he robbed a store. Once he reaches the island he has been sent to for a year he learns that his real weakness is being alone.

Will their friendship be able to continue when the truth is found out though? Kierrah Edwards ENGL 201 9/20/15 Character Analysis: Emily Grierson The short story “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner depicts how seclusion can certainly impact one’s life. Throughout the story, Emily gives off this “insane” impression. However, after fully reading the story, the reader can fully understand why Emily was the way she was. She gets assigned Joe Morelli, who was accused of murder and who happened to be a childhood enemy. Stephanie is very inexperienced and receives help from a professional bounty hunter, Ranger.
