Declaration of Independence from MCPS final exams
I, as a student in Montgomery county, have an adequate thinking and understanding ability. There are a lot of students that came from different places with different thinking and understanding ability. So it is hard to fairly measure my knowledge with all these students by one exam created by the county. This unfair measurement will hinder me from getting my privileges and will kill my courage to work diligently. This is why I say the current finals are not a good measure of my comprehension of what I have learned from the courses.

It creates difference.
It won’t consider testing preconditions like family cases and testophobia.
Teachers only teach for the test prepared by the county.
It won’t test a tremendous progress made by students.
It is biased in favor of students who are native english speakers and students who grew up with technology.
It won’t test my creativity, what we have discovered in class, what I came with the education I gained.
It won’t test my hard work over the course, it only tests if I studied for the small portion I am taking the test on.
It lets me pass if I just studied for the final and did not pay attention in class. This is bad because my knowledge is going to be temporary.
It gives an unrightful judgement of my knowledge, so it could kill my motivation to study.
Of the whole course, It tests what they county wants me to know instead of what I know.
The county has not gave any attention to the big difference created in test scores. The scores can speak to themselves. The county has to solve the problems made by the students instead of teaching the students who passed the test because if the other students won’t understand it well, it is like a building in a bad
Over the course of American history, society has dealt with many flaws, and dilemmas. The writers of the Declaration of Independance all had multiple things in common. What do I think those things were? Well they all undifferentiated in one major detail. Loss. They had all lost something, whether that had been a person(s) or simply their land.
The tests are graded by a special machine that is not programmed to favor some students and not others. Yes, the tests are being graded non-discriminately but, this causes some concern for whether or not the tests are being graded accurately. Technology has been known to fail some times. The machines are very sensitive and the answers have to be filled in clearly and in a certain way or they will be counted wrong. Some students may know the answer but mark it wrong and their score will go down unfairly.
Primarily, this was because of multiple wars with France but nevertheless, this was an unintentional absence due to distractions out of british control. The distance and lack of technology left communications severely lacking the English and its colonies were left to fiend for themselves from a political and economical standpoint. The colonies were basically forced to govern themselves which would in turn unknowingly begin their development of independence away from the Old World. This period is referred to by some as the beneficial neglect and would get the colonies accustomed to the leniency of parliament who didn’t strictly enforce or regulate its laws. During this time it can be said that americans got spoiled to the economical benefits of British neglect.
The Declaration of Independence is one of the most important documents in American History. This single document created the dawn of a new country. The collections of words were carefully chosen to be effective. It contains our ideals for our new country and reason why it should become independent. This document is over 200 years old and it continues to be relevant today.

The state of Texas has been in a constant struggle within itself over just how to evaluate education, and standardized testing in Texas has been a major influencer in terms of the state’s standards for over thirty years. Though these methods of testing have been utilized for decades, resentment to the tests have been continuously rising among educators, parents, and students, but not everyone agrees. Despite government officials trying to quell these protests with changes to administration, and the way the test itself is formatted and formulated, there seems to have been little to no improvement made and those opposing the tests have started calling for an end to all standardized testing. For one to truly understand this ongoing struggle, one must first look at standardized testing’s beginning, then how government today is trying to fix the broken system, and finally consider the opinions of notable figures in the testing world.
Smarter Balanced Assessment: Pro or Con? Smarter Balanced Assessment, who is it truly assessing, the teachers or the students? Smarter Balanced testing contributes to the teacher’s performance, but is it beneficial or does it have unintended consequences? Students are ultimately grading the teachers by taking these tests and they are not even aware of it. The disadvantages may outweigh the benefits for this topic, but teachers must look past the disadvantages and do what they were meant to do, teach.
There is a doctor, Thomas Armstrong, that focuses on youth development, and he believes that standardized tests don’t help or let anyone, whether it’s teachers or students, improve. He wrote that “Standardized tests don’t provide any feedback on how to perform better. The results aren’t even given back to the teachers and students until months later, and there are no instructions provided by test companies on how to improve these test scores” (Armstrong). Since the test companies of standardized tests don’t give feedback to teachers and students, it is impossible for them to know what they need to work and improve upon. If students can’t improve their scores, they are stuck either staying in the same spot or downgrading in the education system.
Recently, the Common Core State Standards were developed and kids were going to be tested more than ever. However, all of this education reform has been a failure because our testing scores have not improved, the testing makes children suffer, and it doesn’t improve how teachers teach.
