Interview Summary The healthcare professional that I decided to interview is a Dental hygienist. The reason I decided to interview a hygienist is because dental hygiene is my major and the career path that I chose and I find the occupation interesting. A dental hygienist is a dental worker who specializes in cleaning teeth and giving advice on cleaning teeth. A dental hygienist plays a key role in a dental practice the hygienist is responsible for making sure the teeth are clean before you see the dentist. The first question that I asked her was, what were some of her daily duties that she had to do each day? Her response was “My first duty of the day is making sure the clinic is prep for our first patient that includes wiping down every

Over the course of her 8-year career she has always won her patience over with her willingness to stay on the job with a high level of care and concern, she has an innate ability to see the job ahead of her, and not quit until every detail; of every area has been addressed. She has lead the way as a professional and is a champion of high level client care.
The purpose of this article was to assess dental hygienist beliefs on treating pregnant patients and assess the amount of education they have on the subject. Perinatal care among oral health care professionals has a focus since maternal periodontal disease was linked to preterm low birth weight babies. The authors wanted to examine hygienist views on the importance of oral care being apart of prenatal care, thoughts on treating pregnant patients, and knowledge level of appropriate procedures. Emails containing the questionnaire were sent to all Michigan Dental Hygiene Association members (MDHA).

Working with kids is what I enjoy the most. I work in a dental office as a dental assistant, and my job is to help all the patients get educated. Being a Dental Assistant Dental Assistants can help change a person’s life in many ways. Dental assistants provide their patients a way to stay healthy within oral activities while also providing general happiness to a patient. Assistants work hand in hand with a dental hygienist observing, supporting, and caring for the patients need, whenever they need them. They work with tools, sit and stand long periods per day, and work in one of the dirtiest places on the human body, the mouth (Summary). Dental Assistants practice safety measures, just like any other doctor would, to assure the safety of themselves, along with the safety of their patients and organs that are being worked on from infectious diseases.
I remember going to the Dental Office to get my regular cleaning and after watching my Dental Hygienist at the time, conduct her regular duties such as cleaning my teeth and educating me on good oral health I was intrigued. At that very moment, I knew that I wanted to help others by becoming a Dental Hygienist. I think that promoting and educating others on good oral health is very important because it
