How could diversity in the United States potentially lead to collapse? There are many elements that contribute to collapse. Whether it’s on a larger scale, like a country, or on a smaller scale, like a family. There is an infinite amount. But the most important one, is diversity. Diversity is showing variety, or being different. It is clear that this could easily lead to the downfall of the United States we know today.
When two people have a disagreement, in a way, it’s diversity. But if there is too much diversity, people could develop completely different ideas, which could lead to arguments, and then to separations. People tend to take pride in what they’re involved in like, for example, when it comes to sports teams. This could lead to people hating each other, and the last thing a country, especially one where the people literally make up the government, needs is its own people hating each other. This relates to Rome because the generals were sent off to take over other lands, and when they did, they started to separate from the emperors and they gained their own peoples trust which becomes a problem, because they stop listening to the emperors and do what they want. Which leads to a lack of distrust, dislike, and eventually, collapse.

The Roman Empire collapsed for many reasons. One of them I believe, is because it got too large. Because of that there was probably a more diverse group of people, this is just an example on a very large scale. It also shows up in Julius Ceasar, the people had different beliefs than Julius, their leader, which ended in his death. What if this were to happen in the United States?
