Renewable Energy Student Text
Problem (below you will explain why/how fossil fuels are running out. This text must be paraphrased into your own words).
Fossil fuels are nonrenewable energy resources. Their supply is constrained and they will eventually run out. It is expected to run out by 2088 (“The End Of Fossil Fuels” n.d.), Fossil fuels don’t reestablish themselves, while for example, wood can be restored endlessly. Out of the three Fossil Fuels, coal creates the most carbon dioxide and regular gas produces the least. Coal and Oil releases sulfur dioxide gas when they burn, which causes breathing issues for living animals and acid rain. (Dorsey, n.d.) Coal causes asthma and other health problems, destroys the environment, and releases

Solar Energy has a variety of uses, including, generating electricity, Providing light, heating water for domestic, industrial and providing a comfortable interior environment. Solar Energy is a technology used to harness the sun’s energy and make it useable. Solar Power warms liquids to high temperature in sun oriented warm power plants. Low-Temperature sun gatherers the sun's warmth energy to warmth water or the warmth pretense for warming homes, workplaces and different buildings. (“Solar energy basis,” …show more content…
Fortunately, lots of research have led to efficient solar panel systems that creates electricity without producing global warming pollution. Solar power is currently one of the most important solutions to the global warming crisis and improved public health and natural quality. Producing electricity from renewable vitality instead of fossil fuels offers noteworthy general medical advantages. Coal and regular gas plants is connected to breathing issues, neurological damage, heart assaults, and disease. It does not pollute air by releasing harmful gases like carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide or sulphur oxide. So, the risk of damage to the environment is reduced. Solar energy is a renewable source of energy as it can be used to produce electricity as long the sun exists. Sunlight is available everywhere on earth. This energy can be harnesses by installing solar panels than can reduce our dependence on other countries for consistent supply of coal to produce
“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” Franklin D. Roosevelt once said these wise words to make awareness about protecting the environment. There are many ways we can help improve the environment, and solar energy is an incredibly useful resource. Today eighty percent of the energy comes from fossil fuels, and about one percent comes from solar panels.
Fossil Fuels have been used as a fuel since the start of the Industrial Revolution. In 1790 the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increased because of this. These gases will remain there for over hundreds of years. I will take centuries for the natural processes to bring down the levels of the green house gases to a normal level. Because of this their warming influence will remain on our Earth for the coming Century
Impacts of coal pollution on human health: Different type of harmful gas are releases during coal combustion: • Sulfur dioxide (SO2) which responsible for acid rain and respiratory illnesses • Nitrogen oxides (NOx) which contribute to smog and respiratory illnesses • Particulates which contribute to smog, haze, and respiratory illnesses and lung disease • Carbon dioxide (CO2) which is the primary greenhouse gas produced from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) • Mercury and other heavy metals, which have been linked to both neurological and developmental damage in humans and other animals Coal pollution also contribute to global warming and the health implications .Coal pollutants affect all major body organ systems
It is the dirtiest fossil fuel by nature and when it is burned, it emits greenhouse gas carbon dioxide and other air pollutant which creates smog. The Union of Concerned Scientist said that “Burning coal is also a leading cause of smog, acid rain, and toxic air pollution.” According to the US Energy Information administration, in 2013, Maryland 's Port of Baltimore was the second in the nation to export coal. Maryland energy consumption on coal was estimated at 183.2 trillion
Did you know that the United States may run out of fossil fuels as soon as the year 2060? Renewable energy are forms of the sun, wind, and water while nonrenewable energy are forms of coal, oil, and gas. In this essay I will be explaining to you about renewable and nonrenewable energy. First, let’s look at nonrenewable energy. Fossil fuels are easier to transport, store, and use than most other fuel sources.
Teacher: Renewable energy sources are reliable but cannot produce large amounts making them vulnerable. Sunlight and winds are quite unpredictable. (Kukreja, R, 2016) Jane: These sources of energy also help the environment because they are less harmful to the ozone layer. Fossil fuels produce green-house gases which are harming our ozone layer. The use of the sun and wind as energy sources is limiting the use of fossil fuels.
It is predicted that in this century we will deplete all of our fossil fuels, which we heavily rely on today. One of the main reasons that people are not acting on creating more green energy is that they simply do not have a clear understanding of the effects of using nonrenewable resources. Many schools don't teach about anything in the area of climate change, fossil fuels or the ways that the world is changing because of them. Many people also don’t know that we are running out of these resources, and extremely
In today 's society almost everything that we use in our everyday lives requires some kind of energy source. With our reliance on these sources growing exponentially we have started to become more dependent on other countries to supply our fuel. With this dependence countries debt continues to grow and this has a very negative effect on the country 's economy. Energy can be split into two main groups renewable and nonrenewable. The difference between these two is the fact that one we cannot exhaust and the other we only have a limited supply of.
There is a quote by President Barack Obama saying, “To truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy,” (“151 Inspiring Environmental Quotes”). He believes as many due that nonrenewable resources are harmful to all aspects of life. The energy we use now is harmful to our planet, to humans, and to animals. Scientists are taking steps to making the world a better place. They found sources that replenished naturally in a short amount of time and are less destructive in all aspects.
Global climate change is a very serious problem that we must pay close attention to. The main reason that causes climate change is that there are too many carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. If the temperature keeps getting higher and higher, there will be many problems that can cause great damage to us and the environment. If we don’t replace fossil fuels with other clean energy, our Co2 level will be as many as the time of the dinosaurs and we don’t know what will our lives be if this really happened. The best way to solve this is by using solar energy.
Scientists have found that renewable energy is a path towards the future for a clean and safe environment. Throughout all the studies and findings, there is a continuing fret whether people should be able to use a traditional way of energy or renewable energy, solar power. Solar energy is seen to be effective since there has progressively been more places that are benefiting from solar usage; however there are also some who disagree. Solar energy sources are derived from natural sources and is implicated throughout our daily lives. From the lights in the streets to the computers we use at home.
Should renewable energy replace fossil fuels? Amer Sharbek Intro- In this essay presentation I will be discussing about renewable energy replacing fossil fuels, also what this replacement can do for the whole world and what it can not. I will present two perspectives and explain them fully, I will also state counter arguments for both perspectives.
Fossil fuels Fossil fuels are NOT a renewable energy resource it will finish up one day As once we 've burned them all, there isn 't any more, and our consumption of fossil fuels has nearly doubled every 20 years since 1900. This is a particular problem for Oil, because we also use it to make plastics and many other products Coal, Oil and Gas are called "fossil fuels" because they have been formed from the fossilized remains of prehistoric plants and animals.
Almost none of the fuel sources that we could use provide Co2 or other pollutants. Economic values could also come from renewable energy. Most of the Energy projects are located away from big cities. These benefits could bring local service as well as tourism. Although the pros are very big there are some cons.
If we would like to conserve the well being of our planet a clean narual renewable energy is reuierd to keep our planet in good
