I aspire to make a social economic impact. As many administrations take over it affects the cultures and norms of a society. Thus throughout my high-school experienced, I attempted to learn about all the levels of aspect that government has to work along to maintain a striving community (economic-wise). My determination fro change comes from a country I once use to call home. Ecuador is a developing country. In the short time I lived there and the times I went back, it was clear to me that I had lived in a corrupted country. The people in the country have seen political instability since the outbreak of 2004 where the people have protested against 4 presidency administrations. The current values of the government are restraining the
Violence, corruption, and poverty have prevailed in Honduras. The land that I called home. However, I have learned that with one single dream and determination I could change the world. This determination was influenced by the Honduran coup d'état. The power of education transformed my perspective in order to change the lives of many Honduran children.

I was born in Guadalajara Jalisco and raised on a small ranch called Atemajac de Brizuela. My dad left when I was small kid, but came back when I was three years old. One year later my sister was born. Once my sister was born my dad decided to come to the United States because he knew that he had better opportunities here than in Mexico. Four years after that I came to the U.S.A at the age of nine not knowing a single word of English.
Being a Cuban immigrant has provided me with a unique bicultural perspective that has become my support system in the United States. For the first eleven years of my life, my culture was composed of music and dancing. In every street corner of my hometown, there was a group of seniors playing domino and close by, their grandchildren dancing to the Salsa music being played on the radio to pass the time. The hardships created by the communist regime are overshadowed by memories of my mother teaching me how to sew and by my paternal grandmother teaching me how to enjoy a strong Cuban coffee. Those precious memories of home became a source of pain when I migrated to the United States.

Leaving Ecuador at the age 14 and coming to New York was the hardest decision I had to make. It wasn’t easy to come to a place where everything is new. The biggest challenge was learning the language. English used to give me a hard time in the school. In high school, I needed to carry a dictionary with me all the time; I took remedial classes and spent hours doing regular homework.
Though I am mostly looking to give back to the UNO community through my employment, I do hope to gain a few skills and experiences from it. I hope to gain more communication skills by connecting with the various individuals that are comprised to make the UNO community. It is extremely important to me to make strong connections with other UNO members because I want to further my involvement on campus. With strong communication, I can utilize the ideas and opinions that others have about projects or goals that I am working on. I can also get involved and collaborate with others to ensure that the projects that are being worked on can be successful and benefit the students of UNO.

Their new president is now telling stories about how corrupt everything was back then, not really seeing what is going on in today's time. Everything has gone downhill, and fast.(Onyedimmakachukwwu

As a fifteen year old, I never thought I would be thinking about college so early, what irony! I stood a little surprised when my teacher gave me a paper which said I earned the opportunity to go to college early. I actually did not know that was possible; I decided to learn a little bit more about the program, Puma College Connection Program. After learning a little more about the program I knew I needed to take advantage of the opportunity. I talked to my parents and they both agreed, so I feel encouraged and hopeful for my future.

Bill Gates, Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King, and Susan B. Anthony all titans of change that through a combination of their wealth, hard work, and leadership changed the world for the better. I can think of no greater personal manifesto than to leave behind a better world than the one we found. So that is my goal to address the world’s problems using my intelligence, hard work, and leadership. Sadly, we live in a world with many issues for me to address.
Often, I find myself sitting in my room questioning why I chose to pursue a career in the field of education. I only begin to question my decision in becoming a future educator when I encounter major challenges. Today, I am fully aware that in life, one is unable to run away from his or her obstacles; however, he or she has the potential to overcome these barriers. On Monday, July 11, I took the Praxis Core Mathematics Exam, which I am required to pass to receive admission into the School of Education at Felician University. I scored a 146 on the exam―the passing score is a 150.
There is stability in politics and it is undergoing slow political reforms. For the first time in 2005, the local ruling body was held and more such reforms are being expected in the near future. Even though the king has tried to bring some reforms, namely the initiation of a legislative council and local elections, the country 's traditional practices and religious norms aren’t being compromised in the process. The conservative judicial system has no separation of powers and the final decision maker is the authorized judge by the king. Although there is a drive in their economy for foreign investors for sectors such as power, aviation, and telecom etc.
