Abortion has always been a controversial topic, and with debates from the recent presidential election bringing abortion back into the spotlight, it is clear that people have varying views as well as a great misunderstanding of abortion. Often, the morality of such action is widely discussed, and stones are quickly thrown. I believe that abortion should be legally and safely obtainable in all cases for women who feel it is the best path to take in their pregnancy.     While abortion is currently legal in all 50 states, some lawmakers are working to make abortions virtually unobtainable. For example, in Ohio, a heartbeat bill sat on the desk of Governor Kasich.

Abortion is not only a fluctuating concept in our society, but an ethical and emotional debate, as well. The image I have chosen presents concepts from a cultural and historical background, as well as presents an ethical, emotional, and logical appeal to the audience. The debate about abortion has simply been overblown and exhausted. The truth of the matter is, abortion is murder. Ending a life, whether innocent or guilty, is murder.

It is never okay to kill a human being whether it is 21 days old or 21 weeks old inside their mother. Life is a process and taking a life away from an innocent baby is something no one should ever consider. Today, one will never understand why abortion is even legal and a new “helping hand” for pregnant women that want to get out a tough situation. People need to stand up for what is right and clarify that abortions are wrong. Sadly, abortion is gaining popularity which makes it even more heartbreaking to understand.

You don't have to have an abortion because you don't want to take care of the kid. I don't know what if feels like to be pregnant and being scared out of my mind. The loss of life is a great lose one can suffer from. The loss of life deprives the individual from experiences, projects, activities and enjoyments that would have been part of his/her future. So killing is wrong because it deprives the individual from his future. Therefore abortion is impermissible because it will deprive the fetus from his/her future. From this, I question that what if that unborn child was you? How would you feel if you know you had been deprived of your life merely because of someone’s irresponsibility? What right would someone have to be born when they themselves choose to kill their unborn child, someone who would have had a future just like any other person? I believe that dating, kissing, sexual intercourse, pregnancy and giving birth are all part of the love and bond that is shared between a male and a female. This belief would thus define abortion as destroying the love between you and your partner.
