In the story of Ruby Bridges, Ruby possessed character traits to help her through this time. Her actions helped propel the Civil Rights Movement throughout the country. Others played a part in helping Ruby. I think all of them were interested in doing what was best for Ruby. All the protestors affected Ruby. Ruby had an effect on them in the end. Ruby possessed character traits to help her through the time. She used her religiousness to help her through the situation with the riot of white people outside the school everyday. She prayed for them as she walked by daily. She was persistent in going through the complicated situation with the people by continuing to attend the school. When first arriving to the school parents were taking their students out of school. Teachers was quitting and not wanting to teach her making it seem like she’s not the same as the rest of the children in the school. It affected Ruby by her being the only student in her class as she would be lonely sometimes. In the end Ruby had an effect on them because she had the highest scores than all the rest of the students in the school. She also made some of the parents notice that their child wants to be friends with Ruby even though they didn’t want them to play with her.
