However, some doctors consider infections of the urethra and prostate to be lower (Iman, 2016). Upper UTIs usually consist of diseases of the ureters, renal pelvis, and interstitium. The differences are that upper infections can lead to kidney failure, and lower UTIs result in necrosis. E. Intravenous pyelography can be used to detect bladder obstruction in older men. The prince in the video gives his audience some logical evidence how squatty potty helps them poop such as; “sitting at this angle can cause hemorrhoids, bloating, constipation, and a butt load of other crap,” (1) that means if you sit at the wrong angle while pooping it could create more than one problem. In his poem “Tampons,” Bill Garvey provides a social commentary on the disconnection between the U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq and the civilians in the United States. The speaker of “Tampons” is in the local post office, and discovers a “list of needs” which are items going overseas (line 5). Garvey’s poem “Tampons” features a first-person speaker, the situation and setting which are presented within the first two lines, and imagery to allow readers to gain a realization of the casualties and bloodshed during within the war in Iraq. Garvey uses a first-person speaker who is oblivious to the harsh realities of the war in Iraq.
The challenge still lies in the severe under-reporting of urinary incontinence issues. After all, seniors cannot get help if nobody knows there is a problem. If your senior loved one may be having trouble with urinary incontinence, it is important that they have their situation investigated. A full third of overactive bladder issues may be linked to lower urinary tract infections. Not only could the bladder problem be quickly reversed with a UTI treatment, but the pain and discomfort of the UTI would be addressed as well.

“‘I think there must be something wrong with us. To do what we did’” (Capote 108). This quote from Perry Smith (one of the infamous Clutter family murderers) was more accurate than one would think. In the novel In Cold Blood, Perry and his partner, Dick Hickock, murdered the family of Herbert William Clutter when they raided his house in search of a money safe in which Mr. Clutter did not own.

The food enters the mouth and is chewed.
As a nursing student, I need to ensure I am performing my tasks, including perineal care, to the highest standard, and addressing areas of concern that I observe during my shifts. As mentioned by Marshall & Bailey (2008), incontinence can greatly impact the quality of life of a patient, as well as increases their risk of potential perineal skin breakdown. Improper perineal care following incontinence can lead to painful skin irritation, UTIs, and pressure sores. Frequent monitoring, and management of incontinence are the first steps in appropriate management. Seeing as I was diligent in observing and reporting the incident of improper perineal care, I was able to follow these crucial first steps in preventing a potential UTI in this geriatric patient.
