In his speech “Brother’s Keeper”, Eugene Debs talks about the idea that everyone has a moral obligation to help others who don’t have the ability to help themselves. I disagree with this claim because of the fact that nobody is born with an obligation to help people that he/she doesn’t even know. During the Women’s Rights movement, women were being treated very poorly and not given many of the rights that men had. Women were treated as property and also treated very inhumanely.
