Difficulties of settling Charlestown Did you ever move or settle in a different place? The European settlers wanted to settle in Charlestown. Because they wanted to start a new life and have more land to settle on. But there was problems with other settlers wanting the same land because there were great trade routes and dangerous animals and other deadly things to worry about. So they tried to settle the land of Charlestown and were successful in doing so. Another reason why Charlestown was difficult to settle was because he of Native Americans and other tribes launching attacks against the European natives so it was difficult for the European settlers to settle the land because there were Native Americans running on there land and attacking them on their land and of killing most of them like the small pox diseases and other things wernt killing enough of their people. And there were other attacks from the animals there attacks from lions , tigers and other animals that could be very scary to people and it wasn't very safe for the settlers to come out and night and try to look and gather food for their tribes and find supplies for things they needed. CharlesTown Settlement Issues Have you ever gone to a new place? The Europeans moved to CharlesTown South Carolina. It was difficult for them to move to Charles Town because they wanted new land. The difficulties for them where they had unfavorable weather, sickness, a lot of low food supplies, and hostility from the Native American . was inhabited by number of Native American tribes.
But, the low land made it easier for them to get attacked. Native Americans cleared some land already so that means they couldn’t use that wood in the cleared area. The Hard Times of The Charles Town Settlers Unlike the modern American, the average Charles Town settler’s life was brutal and harsh. The hamlet of Charles Town was on the track to be founded in 1663 when eight Lords Proprietors were given a grant from King Charles I of England to settle or establish an organization of land below the colony of Virginia, after the failed grant designated to Sir Robert Heath in 1629. This newly established settlement laid at Albemarle Point on the Ashley River in 1670. With the town still being new, they relied heavily on trade with the Native Americans. Though Charles Town’s future looked bright everyday task were still a constant struggle.

The U.S moved the Native Americans to small plots of land that the settlers called reservation. This land was something the government didn’t want. Some Native Americans didn’t want to move. So they were forced to by the U.S militia.
