Individual mind is what psychodynamic means. Each person is different in their own mind. When you are a developing child you have a unconscious drive this is what really drives your behavior and emotion. The human life is like an iceberg your conscious mind is the tip of the iceberg is what you are in control of. The bigger part of the iceberg the unconscious is what’s really driving your behavior, because it is unseen.
Freud was inspired by this theory and believed that the mind has many flows. One of the strengths of psychodynamic intervention for is its capacity to identify underlying issues such as resentment and anger that may have their genesis in early childhood familial experiences. Most of the activities of these mental elements occurred out of the awareness, which Freud described as unconscious. Freud postulated that these unconscious mental activities could affect one’s conscious thoughts, feelings and behaviour.8 Psychodynamic psychotherapy is,
In psychoanalytic therapy, Rutan (2007) believe that “the therapist’s role is essentially to react rather than to initiate. The dynamic therapist waits for the group process to occur and then comment on it” (p. 170). As group interactions increases, the leader pursues participants’ unconscious motivations and investigates the historical roots of these motivations through analysis and interpretations.
