The body needs certain amounts of some trace minerals. Although there are many trace minerals, fluoride is one of the important ones in the body. The fluoride level that is suppose to be in the body is 4 mg for adult males 2 mg for adult females. Fluoride is involved the formation of bones and teeth. Fluoride is predominantly well known for what is does for teeth rather than bones. For teeth, it builds the enamel in order to help prevent tooth decay which is the rotting of the teeth in the form of cavities due to the loss of enamel.
