The age limit still in the same from 10 years, 12 years old and older. In 1997 the crime committed by someone they know was fifty percent know it change in a ten-year period and drop down to that 3 percent for males and 23 percent from intimate and for males unknow was 50 percent and for woman it 28 percent. The rate drops down from the victim knowing their attack and it raise that it an increase of the victim not knowing their attack. I truly believe that violent crimes happen for several reasons, the first reason I think violent crimes occurred because of a person lifestyle they’re upbringing and how the person was raised. I also agree with this statement that, “Over time, lifestyle theory and the routine activity approach have been treated as complementary (or even synonymous) because they emphasize the impact of everyday activity patterns. Both theories relate victimization risk to the quantity of time people spend in risky settings”( Lemieux, A. M., PhD., & Felson, M., PhD,2012).It seem that criminal learn a certain behavior and it become a part of their life and it become their lifestyle , as the theory behaviorism describe they learn a certain behavior or idea and the person feel that all behaviors are acquired through conditioning. Some people feel that violence is inherent in people , I feel that there are situation I feel that some people is pure evil and they could be born that why, I have been in criminal justice for the pass 4 years plus and I never would have through there are so many violent people and so many criminals and cold heart people. I want criminal shows all the time and I feel there are some people who is evil and it no hope for them because they are pure evil and it start when they are little and when they grow up there curiosity take control and they start doing evil things and getting a thrill out of it. Another reason I believe that
Routine activity theory presents a systematic approach to comprehending the dynamics of criminal behaviour. According to this theory, three key elements must align for a crime to take place: a motivated offender, a suitable target,
My paper aims to discuss the three different factors of criminal behaviour, what causes it and why. My essay will examine and focus mainly on the genetic makeup of a person, the environment in which they are raised in and gender differences.
One reason of thought for this that the brain is still developing on all aspects social maturity , risk taking, and decision making (Farrington, Loeber, & Howell, 2012). Also to take note would be a young adults hormones are usually at its highest during this peak time than any other. The lack of higher paying jobs may also be a deterrent for young age crimes because the need of money or a higher standard of living may be more attainable monetarily by committing crimes. The crime rates sharply decrease as women and men grow older, this could be due to the development of the prefrontal cortex in the brain, or also could be because of the demanding physical aspects it takes to commit some crimes (Steffensmeier & Allan,
Each and every country around the world face constant issues and dilemmas everyday. It ranges from poverty to climate change but one main issues that occurs daily is crime. For example those who follow the code of the street, that may mean beating someone up to make themselves feel more powerful, but they had to learn that from somewhere as they can not only learn things from their direct experiences but there is also a high chance that they have seen exposed to others that do the same exact thing. Differential association theory which is a strain of social learning theory, explains that criminal behaviour, and the specific techniques that one needs to know to commit crime are learned. This relates to the code of the street because those who abide by it are not only taught the violent or criminal behaviour but are also taught the motivating factors that back up the behaviour. All the residents that follow the street code do because that is what is they are surrounded with and according to the social learning theory, which is explains that crime is learned, they watch how others deal with things and use that as a model. It is a cognitive process in which one’s attitude and their surroundings merge in an ongoing conditioning theory.
Short Summary: Chapter 2 of The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Prison was about how the way society sees crime can be distorted by the media, the justice system, and the information we are presented with about what crime really is. It points out that medical neglect, known environmental hazards, dangerous workplace conditions, and poverty cause more injuries yearly than murders, assaults, and robberies. Most people see the latter as “crime,” but not the former. Long Summary: Chapter 2 of The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Prison discusses people’s skewed perspective when it comes to what they think crime really is. The reader is asked to do an exercise regarding their own reason.
At the young age of 12, 13, 14 even younger kids most of them are expected to know what they want to commit themselves to to make a living. If kids are given that much responsibility and such a young age, then why can't they comprehend the consequences of violent crimes such as armed robbery and murder? The answer is that they can. While most teenagers won't be able to tell you the maximum sentence for aggravated assault, they will be able to tell you that you spend years in prison. Most teenagers and kids know that the consequences of violent crimes are severe.
These cutoffs range from 7 to 14 years old. At any rate, the current situation is one that has sparked many moral and ethical beliefs to surface, resulting in debates that have yet to be resolved. Children who commit violent crimes should not be tried as adults, because proper educational services are typically not affordable, children are more susceptible to harming themselves
Lifestyle Theory takes a unique approach by focusing and studying the crime victim rather than just the perpetrator. The main issue is that victims of crime
Evil is a simple word that we learn at a young age and that we understand is bad. However, our youth and innocence prevents us from knowing the weight the word holds. As our understanding of evil develops, we begin to see evil all around us. Although we hold common societal definitions of evil, each person is bound to view evil slightly different from others. Someone might consider alcoholism evil, while others consider it normal: someone might believe racism is evil, while others believe it is natural.

Throughout the 17th-century gangs have been causing havoc in people's life and destroying the society. The National Institute of Justice (2011) has defined a gang as "A group of collective members which create an atmosphere of intimidation among citizens. " Many of these gangs are well organized, using different forms of violence to control neighbourhoods and to conduct their illegal activities. The National Gang Threat Assessment (2011) reports that “Gangs are responsible for an average of 48 percent of violent crime in most jurisdictions.” Street Gangs have caused incidences of violence that is confined in the inner city of many countries.

Every day on the news there are all kinds of reports. Crime reports are a major part of today's events. Almost every day there are posts about crimes. The level of crime has risen immensely in every corner of the world.
