Lincon is considered one of the best prisidensts America has had. Washington was the U.S first prisidenent and possibaly the greatest, he lead america through the Revolutionary War and won. He had a lot of knowladge about war stragty and that helped us win the war against the Brittish.

George Washington plays a very important part in the American Revolution. Throughout the Revolutionary war, he was ordered by Congress to be the commander in chief of the Continental Army. Washington had little experience in leading such a big army. Although he actually showed that he was actually able to control and lead the Continental Army. George Washington and his army won battles like the Battle of Yorktown in 1781 and the Battle of Trenton in 1776.

The most significant person in the American Revolution was George Washington. In the war George Washington led American and his men to victory. He was a one of the best generals they could have got. George Washington had a good fighting style, he was fit for a general for the Americans, and he trained his whole life to be a general. George Washington led most of the battles for America.

A leader is defined as one who mobilizes other toward a goal shared by leader and followers. That is what General George Washington did during the Revolutionary War that began on April 19, 1775 to September 3, 1783. General George Washington had been selected to be a Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. Throughout the era of the War, General Washington has proved himself to be a formidable leader that made him recognizable in a much later life such as his presidential selection. If it weren’t for General George Washington reshaping the life during the Revolutionary between the British and the Americans, America would have not be what it is.

General George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He played a masterful role in the victory of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Events in his earlier life, along with his lack of traditional education enhanced his leadership skills, and strengthened his determination, which ultimately led to victory (Bio.com). His great grandfather, John Washington, moved from England to Virginia.

George Washington is said to have fought through the worst of the worst encounters in wars. “I now exist and appear in the land of the living by miraculous care of Providence, that protected me beyond all human exception; I had 4 bullets through my coats, two horses shot under me, and just escaped unhurt.” George Washington (158). His humble ways also paved a way to the American people, as he never forgot for whom he was fighting for the cause. “George Washington's action as a leader in wartime demonstrated the morals and practical truths on which these nation was founded.”

Our very first and successful president demonstrates arete. George Washington whom is the first president of the US fought for our country for almost half a century. Lost many battles but he still got us the independence we deserved. He was the main guy that got the revolution against the british started. So he definitely meets the requirements for arete which is really just being a hero but you have to have a high human potential, excellence, and good virtue.

George Washington displayed all qualities that made him a leader. Although he was truly a great leader it was never something that he inspired to be. Washington’s trustworthiness and reputation in the military also helped with the development of his leadership. His leadership and legacy can be measured by what happened afterwards. Creating a political system that is still used today, proves that what Washington did helped change America.

One of our greatest leaders was George Washington who was one of the many curtail reasons for the Independence, due to his skills, strategy, and knowledge of the terrain. To win the war Washington had to have many different war skills, due to his 40 years of service he was able to accomplish this. He had also proven his skills and knowledge in many different wars. He also knew many different strategies, considering how many battles he was in Washington probably picked up some of their strategies and tweaked them a bit, while also having some of his own strategies. On June 15, 1775, the delegates of the Continental Congress unanimously elected George Washington to command all the continental forces.

On June 15, 1775, Washington was appointed Major General and Commander-in-Chief. Of course, he was the first choice, with his military experience and good charisma to suit the job. Although Washington was best fitted for the job, he was not accustomed to having such a large army and an open-field style of battling, unlike the British. Even then, George Washington was smart and cunning enough to keep his army ahead of the enemy. At Valley Forge, Washington’s 11,000 men severely depleted over the winter, losing around 2,000 soldiers mainly from typhus, typhoid, dysentery, and the flu, but even with this great loss, Washington’s army came out of the winter season in a relatively good condition.
