Gun Control Should Be Banned In The United States

The second amendment and the input of gun control laws has been a big issue, especially when the number of mass murders and shootings are continuing to grow in the United States. Putting a limit or constraint on people who own guns will not stop the problem. Putting a limit may hold someone back for a short period of time, but somehow will still find one, purchase it, and use it. Some people just own a gun for the simple purpose of protection. Three major components of the second amendment will be affected if some type of gun control were to take place and those three components are concealed carry, weapons of mass destruction, and invasion of privacy.

Gun violence is a constant problem in the United States of America. It has affected society and out youth negatively in the past and will continue to affect the country as a whole if nothing is done about it. The country is in mourning due to the recent influx of gun violence related crimes. There are common-sense reforms that either side can agree on. These include improvements to backgrounds checks, revisions of the Second Amendment that accommodate the modern innovations to firearms and reinstating the Center for Disease Control's research on gun violence.

As American subjects, we have a bigger number of rights and flexibilities than whatever other gathering of individuals on the planet. The originators of this nation built up these flexibilities since they had beforehand lived in nations where the general population did not have the same number of rights. One of these rights is expressed in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, which announces "the privilege of the general population to keep and remain battle ready, might not be encroached. " But rather throughout the years different laws and directions have encroached upon this privilege. The explanations behind these laws are to get the firearms that cause wrongdoing and wounds off the lanes.

Gun control has been a controversial issue for many years. Many citizens believe that if gun control is strictly enforced it would reduce the threat of crime. People have the right to bear arms for protection, or even just the pleasure of hunting and recreational activity. With the recent events involving firearms and mass shootings, people are skeptical whether to increase or decrease gun laws. Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.

Mental Health is a bigger issue than guns, and mental health will be regulated and not guns if the authority and the government want killings to stop occurring. Taking away guns will not stop killings with guns. People will find other ways to kill people, because people if they want to kill, will kill. Some argue that the guns need to be taken away because guns take away Innocent people’s lives. However, the real reason people are killed by guns is that of the people using the gun.

On, February 14, 2018, a mass school shooting in Florida got the nation’s attention, however, gun violence has always been an issue, and it is only getting worse. Now people are saying there needs to be something done, and there are many that agree. Starting off there should be stricter gun laws, because in today’s world it is too easy to get handguns and assault rifles. With, the capabilities a firearm holds, such as taking people’s lives there must be stricter restrictions that could help cut down the gun violence and save lives. Increasing the age of purchasing a firearm would be one step.

Did you know most crimes and murders include guns in them? Guns are dangerous and we need loopholes in gun control laws fixed. The 2nd amendment protects our rights to bear arms, in other words you have the right to own a gun. But crimes including guns have increasingly gotten more common, and that 's why we need laws that increase the background checks before you are able to buy a gun, and ban guns like the most common automatic rifle used in crimes the AR-15. People take the right to own a gun for granted.

I think it is clear that America’s lenient Gun Laws have no doubt been a huge factor on the staggering amount of gun violence for a long time. I do believe, however, in people’s rights to defend and arm themselves, it is part of their constitution, I just feel that it is necessary that the laws regarding the 2nd amendment need to be reinforced and should introduce some restrictions to ensure that only the people who are mentally capable of wielding a firearm, without causing harm to society, should be allowed to acquire one. I do also recognise that there are already a staggering number of guns in the possession of the general public, and I feel that the only way to tackle this issue is cultural change in America, changing the views of individuals on the idea of guns, but change is always

Though stopping gun violence would be wonderful, it’s an ideal that America can no longer conquer. Too many citizens would disobey new laws to ban guns from our citizens’ grasp. Riots would arise, and illegal trades would become all the more frequent. But, there are solutions that could decrease the amount of gun violence within our country.

Strict regulations and limitations have been pursued already and clearly do not suffice. Statics brought to attention by gun control opponents, show that gun control laws have done little to reduce crime rates. Several restrictions have been made on certain guns, considered as overly dangerous, though in the hands of an unstable criminal even a legal hunting gun can be deadly. Countless restrictions have been made, however people have still found ways around them. If people are unstable and determined enough, they will find a gun, regardless of the restrictions or regulations.

In today’s society, one of the most alienating issues in American politics is gun control. More specifically, the issue is whether or not guns should be banned in the United States. Some people would say that guns should be banned because it would reduce crime as a whole and keep citizens safer. These people, enthusiasts of stricter gun laws, fear being safe in their country where there are so many people who have access to guns. Opponents of this argument, however, also fear losing safety.

The use of and the owning of guns is a very hot and debated topic in society today. For many, this is a life and death debate due to the recent and numerous school shootings. These school shootings have caused an outcry for more gun control, specifically in relation to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Despite these calls, increased gun control is not the answer. Most gun owners’ use their guns responsibly and for good purposes.

Guns are just a tool, like knives and hammers and it completely depends on the people on how they use it. People who support guns and arms say that the Second Amendment secures individual’s right to carry guns with them and that gun rights is needed for self-protection, and was intended for military to have peace and defend the country if needed (Spitzer, 70). Most of the Americans use guns as a source to protect themselves and they believe that gun ownership prevents crime. A study conducted on November 26, 2013 showed that bans on weapons did not significantly affect murder rates at the state level (Lane, 5). Moreover, even if the rules and regulations are executed on gun control, not all criminals obey the law.

Problems The current method of gun-control is flawed profusely in the United States. Americans are given the right to purchase weapons under the 2nd Amendment which is the right to bear arms. The right to bear arms is for one’s own defense that should not be infringed or taken in any way. Weapons should only be used to protect oneself (defense mechanism.)

The number of incidents of gun violence last year in the United States was about 60,000. In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
