H.H Holmes was born into a wealthy family in New Hampshire. His real name was Herman Webster Mudgett. He was very privileged growing up. His mother was a schoolteacher was a “very cold and distant individual who used religion as a daily guide for parenting” (Read, 2004). His parents would abuse him physically and mentally. His father was alcoholic and he had disciplinary strategies for Holmes to listen like food deprivation, and using kerosene rags to quiet him when Holmes cried. He was incredibly bright and intelligent. He was a loner in school. He never developed real meaningful relationships and was bullied in school. He was the outsider of many things. He had a fascination with performing surgeries on animals. As we all know 27 year old James Eagan Holmes opened fire in a crowded movie theater, Century 16, on July 20,2012. Holmes had over 700 rounds of ammunition with him, killing 12 and injuring 70. Not long ago, over 3 years after the shooting, on August 7th, Holmes was sentenced to 12 life sentences and 3,318 years without parole. Holmes was a former grad student.

James Farmer Jr. was born in Marshall, Texas on January 12th 1920. His Mother was a school teacher while his father, James Farmer Sr., was a Methodist minister and was among the first African American men in the entire state to earn a PhD. Farmer was accepted at the early age of 14, skipping grades to Wiley College which resided in his home town. In 1938, his intellectual talent would lead to his graduation and move to Howard University in Washington, DC, where he would go on to study religion. His master's thesis examined a unity of economics, religion, and race. During his time there, he joined a debate team and became an exceptional part of it.

He was respected in the community and easy to get along with. He was born in an Edgewater Hospital in Chicago and was raised as a Catholic and went to Catholic schools growing up. He was a quiet boy and worked odd jobs for spending money. He was well liked by his teachers, co-workers, and friends at school and the Boy Scouts. During his high school years due to his problematic family trouble he dropped out of school and began to save up money.

Oliver Hill became a strong supporter of equality. Equality is the state of being the same in number, race, class, or quality. Oliver Hill grew up in Richmond, Virginia on May 1, 1907. Graduating from Dunbar High School, Hill wasn't sure what he wanted to do for a living. He married a woman named Beresenia Walker.
Holmes is found guilty with the murder in the first degree. He has the penalty of dying by hanging. While waiting for death, he says he had committed 27 murders. Henry Webster Mudgett met his demise on May 7,1896. It is unsure how many people Holmes has killed, but it is definite that he had killed 9 people.
Someone may wonder who was the first ever serial killer. Did he do it for fun or did he do it out of anger? Was all of this on purpose or an accident? No one will ever know the real reason why H.H.
