Heroes are men who differentiate courage or ability, they are venerated for their deeds and honorable characteristics. Heroes are the people who will be confident enough to show bravery and determination in times of trouble. Ordinary people like me for example, should be inspired to do so. Beowulf is a hero, Achilles is a hero, and Hamlet is a hero and there are many more. Reflecting back on these heroes reminds me that our world could do better. Heroes are selfless people and will do whatever it takes to save someone from a battle and danger.

Sir Gawain: Chivalrous Knight or Average Human In the epic Sir Gawain and the Green Knight Sir Gawain makes a valiant effort to hold himself to the Chivalric Code; however, in many instances throughout the epic he falls short of the standard he chooses to live by. Certainly it would be difficult for any person to uphold every aspect of the Chivalric Code in its entirety and in every moment or situation, just as it is difficult for many people to live up to the standards set by their faith or the laws set by their government.
