I am currently a freshman attending high school. Prior to becoming a high school student, I was eagerly anticipating my transition into the high school from middle school. I was convinced that everything would change for the better as soon as I walked through those unfamiliar halls. I had high hopes that my teachers and classes would suit me better than those that I encountered in middle school, which were rather lackluster.
Much to my dismay, from my first day I observed that high school was very similar to middle school. I was disappointed. Fortunately, with time I developed a new perceptive about it. I decided to appreciate the small improvements from middle school and to take most things in stride. I am making an effort to make the best
Students feel like high school is the best part of their lives while they 're in it. The thing is nothing will ever be permanent in our lives we will learn, graduate and find work only will we know that nothing is slowing down. The movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year portrayed a great example about how high school is just a part of life and that everyone who experiences it learns almost half of what is ahead of them. The movie is about friends and how they balance their time. It is about how they make their choices and learn about the effects of it.
As a freshman the transition was some what difficult for me. These are somethings I think would be good to new for the middle schoolers that are tranistioning into highschool. First keep organized. I can 't stress that enough because if you don 't you will lose things really easy and become a real mess. Another thing is a personal opinion but I don 't think that going to your locker every passing period is a good idea.
When I was in MacCracken middle school, I always wondered what it would be like when I went to Spartanburg high. I kind of wished someone would have told me what high school would be like. Now that I have been here for a year and a half, it is not that hard. I have managed to learn not only a lot in class but also a lot about Spartanburg High School and its people. Friendships and reasonability are areas that I think students in the eighth- grade student should know before they arrive.
Or even made the High School transition a little rough and scary? Some may believe so, then again some may have been ready. From the first hand accounts of this year 's incoming freshman it can be said without a doubt, that they have had a smooth transition. Although it may have been hard, but it was an overall smooth one. All in all, the High School transition is different for everyone.
“I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” - Maya Angelou My four years as a student at Middle Creek High school have taught me endless amounts of knowledge, but a few memorable lessons that are not in a curriculum. Through challenges presented by teachers, responsibility only the toughest classes could teach, and the endless memories with peers and friends.
High school is one thing that a vast majority of people have experienced. Several of those who are acquainted with the high school experience are well aware of how terrible it can be; it is "the mouth of a great demon biting and chewing and smushing people in the face" (Jesse Andrews) leaving us in ruins after we graduate. It is a place to put awkward teenagers that adults do not want to deal with. It is a place where individuality and dissent are encouraged, but also crushed. High school is simply irrelevant and overwhelming and it must be reevaluated.
I have changed in high school the way that in middle school I really don’t like to be involved in any sports or even in student council, from last year I really don’t like any of those things, but now in high school is different. Now in high school I liked to be involved in something for example: sports. In high school is different because the way people changed. I remember when I was in middle school I just care about doing homework and don’t check about my grades, but now in high school I care about my grades and that I’m passing all my classes with a good grade. In middle school they give you an extra work to pass the class, but in high school they just give you the work and that’s it, they don’t give you an extra work to pass the class.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
As we walk the halls, we discuss what life will be like in high school, where the rooms are, and the best parts of high school. With each passing step, the freshmen speed up as they become more and more comfortable with this new home away from home. It seems as though they have matured in the few minutes that I have spent
The past four years of my life hold both my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. High school can be a very awkward time period in a person’s life. Four years ago, I made the intimidating switch from St. Mary’s School to Algoma High School. There were certain aspects of high school which made me nervous, but academics was not one of them. I learned how to be a responsible student in my earlier years, and school had always come relatively easy to me.
My first day of high school as a freshmen in a new level of education Is what I was thinking when I woke from slumber that morning in bed. Stepping foot on the campus wasn’t even the beginning, taking the school bus in the morning is where the first taste of being a freshmen and actually starting and being an high school student. I started to get really nervous and a sense of reality hit me. Walking towards the bus stop all I see is a huge group of high school students waiting around for the bus, calm and cool as I try to stay to be I approach the waiting area not knowing what to I’m getting into.
I have changed from 8th grade to high school. When I was in 8th grade I was so shy, quiet and not so much mature. Now that I’m in high school I have meet a lot of new friends, and transformed into a better person by not being shy and matured. Once I had entered high school I had thought it was going to be boring in school and get a lot of homework.

When I first came to the school, I was nervous, excited and scared. I felt this way because I didn’t really know what to expect. My teachers prior to grade 9 told me that things were going to get much harder in high school, while on the other hand, my sister said I was overreacting and there was nothing to worry about. I was also pretty scared because we were freshman, and every grade above grade 9 hates freshman. But I later thought to myself that I have nothing to worry about, millions of people have done this before me, so as long as i 'm focused, i’ll be set for my first high school year.
