The religion of Buddhism first appeared in India during the sixth century B.C.E and its teachings migrated to China by the first century C.E., gradually winning over the Chinese people following the collapse of the Han dynasty in 220 C.E. Buddhist influence continued its expansion in China for several centuries. Throughout Chinese history, China reacted to the spread of Buddhism within its empire in several ways: some valued its policies for their implications in Chinese culture, others condemned Buddhist ideals for not being original to the empire, while many remained indifferent towards Buddhism and its spread. Support for the spread of Buddhism became most evident among Chinese scholars. An anonymous scholar believed that the old Confucian philosophies of China were nothing in comparison to the greatness of Buddhism, even going as far as to compare the sages to the Buddha as swallows to a phoenix (document 3). Additionally, he admires the dedication that the Buddhist monks showed; the monks enjoyed the act of living and inaction, freeing themselves from worldly pleasure.

Therefore, a new branch of Hinduism emerged and is now known as Buddhism. One of the two similarities between the two religions is Symbolism. Moreover, the two religions figured out the how to avoid death. On the other hand, a difference between Hinduism and Buddhism is the fundamental ideology. Buddhist strive to achieve nothingness and they believe that there is no god while in hinduism, they do.

Both religions put an emphasis on behaving appropriately in society and in the home. Confucianism shows this in the theme of filial piety and benevolence, and Buddhism shows this in the ethical conduct section of the Noble Eightfold

Have you ever heard of the religions Buddhism and Judaism. These are two very unique religions and have very different beliefs but then they also have a few things in common so they aren 't totally different. They are both very old religions. So first i will tell you about them

The reason Hinduism is so varied is due to the variety of texts and scriptures that makeup the Hindu belief system. Many of these beliefs were not originally written down, rather much like Buddhism; they were simply passed down generation to generation. The Rig Vedas, is known as the most important of the Hindu scriptures due to the account of the origin of the universe. (Molloy 2013) Although the Vedas are the primary scriptures, there are others including Agama, Tantra, etc.

In comparison, Buddhism and Sikhism are religions that originated from Hinduism. The differences lie because Sikhism is monotheistic (single God) and Buddhism believes there is no God. Other differences lie in the teachings, practices, idol worshipping, religious laws, symbols and concept of God. Buddhism - Buddhism is the old religion around 624 B.C. - Buddhism talks about self-organization, they do not believe in the Creator. - Buddhism is a monastic community called as the Sangha.

Buddhism/Hinduism vs. Christianity: Afterlife The concept of afterlife is different for many. Some would say there is a heaven or hell, or some would believe in the concept of reincarnation. The answer varies from different peoples perspective in terms of their religion or personal opinion; yet despite these differences it is agreed that different concepts of afterlife in different religions can have a certain degree of similarity or comparison. Although Buddhism/Hinduism and Christianity are three different religions in terms of where the soul enters in afterlife; they do have many similarities such as a reward and punishment system and second chances to redeem oneself.

Although Buddhism and Hinduism originate in India, many aspects are unique to each faith. Buddhism derived around the 6th century BCE, and Hinduism came to be between 3300-1500 BC. Many moral values of the two faiths are very similar, while each has its own set of traditions, beliefs, and scriptures. Buddhism came to be when its founder Siddhartha, a prominent royal, left his comfortable life and went on to be the enlightened one. On the other hand, Hinduism has no one specific founder, but rather was a blend of traditions and philosophies.

Another similarity between Hinduism and Christianity is that they both believe in a supreme god. Hindus believe in Krishna and although it remains a polytheistic religion, they believe in a supreme god that the other gods originate from, called Krishna (Dasa, Pandit). Contrasting with this, Christians believe in one supreme God called Yahweh. However, do not confuse the two religions Hinduism and Christianity they do not include the same beliefs but they do contain some common ground with each

Hinduism began 4000 years ago in India unlike Christianity which began in half that time but in Israel. In the beginning was the creations of life which both religions believe that their god created. Both religious worship is different, Christians pray in churches while Hindus meditate or make offerings in temples. Christianity is monotheistic which means their belief is in one god unlike Hinduism which is a polytheistic which is belief in multiple gods and goddess. Both Religions ritual is fasting but Hindus make animal sacrifices.

When studying the scriptures of Hinduism, it is important to keep in mind it is not like any other western religion that most Americans are used to. In western scriptures, Christianity for example, eternity is based off the life God gives them. Whether they go to heaven or hell is all based on the one life God has given them. On the other hand, the Hindu religion sees life as a repetition and reincarnation until they are in complete peacefulness so they can travel to the next higher realm of consciousness. So there are obviously huge differences on the outlooks of life between these two religions.

There are many similarities and differences between the diffusion of many of the major religions that are still prominent in today’s society. Two of the many monotheistic religions that are currently popular are Buddhism and Christianity. Both of these religions spread from where they began. Christianity and Buddhism both expanded with the help of political leaders, but had different followers and expanded to different regions.

As we go out life we find and meet many people. Then we find out if we have anything in common to them. We also found out what is different about one another. Therefore, the Hindus and Buddhist had a lot in common ,but also had many differences. Both of these cultures believed in karma and Dharma.
