How Did Abigail Williams Cause The Crucible

The Salem Witch Trials were a gruesome series of hangings. These events happened during the 17th century in Salem, Massachusetts, hence the name. The Crucible tells the true story of various accusations that resulted in asphyxiation. Abigail Williams is responsible for most of the hysteria that went on in the story. Her lies caused a negative chain of events in the form of the hangings.

Arthur Miller was experiencing problems in his marriage and was influenced by the events during McCarthyism. One theme in "The Crucible" is that people lied for both good and selfish reasons. Speaking of Abigail... in my opinion Abigail Williams is the one to blame for the innocent deaths because of the lies she told, the accusations she made, and the affair she had with John Proctor. Abigail Williams told many, many lies in The Crucible. The reason the witch trials began in the first place was because of the lie she told about being in the woods.

Power is the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way, Power is not only strength it is a human relationships, power is the authority one person holds over another. In the play The Crucible,written by Arthur Miller. Three characters Abigail Williams, Reverend Hale, and Judge Danforth. All want to gain power as the play goes on. But it takes a turn and influenced them negatively.

Adolescent minds are the most intelligent kind of mind. A young brain is filled with creativity, imagination and innocence. Though the thought process of a teen is assumed to be selfish there are other factors involved. A combination of these characteristics seems almost dangerous. One would undermine a juvenile to use these qualities to manipulate the court for their own selfish wishes or pleasures.
