How Did Jfk A Game Changer

I chose to write about John F. Kennedy using the his “Civil Rights Address” as my primary source. By writing this paper I hope to prove how JFK helped the civil rights movement even though his term was cut short. I’m hoping I can prove that during his term he accomplished something for this movement that had a lasting effect. Civil rights was and still is a big deal in America and I hope to find out about his contribution to that effort.

November 22, 1963. The day that changed the United States and the rest of the World. The day that John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas, Texas. The assassination of JFK greatly impacted the United States on the way we look at security for our President. John F. Kennedy was shot riding in an open convertible during a parade.

In January 1961, a young, good looking, confident, charismatic, and democratic was elected. His name being John Fitzgerald Kennedy, became the 35th president. Kennedy was a symbol of hope for most Americans, and many citizens looked up to him. In fact, Kennedy used a lot of television so everyone knew his face well. His wife Jacqueline invited artist and celebrities into the White House.

John F. Kennedy was a wild card, so to speak. He was young, an Irish Catholic, and had only captured presidential victory by a minimal margin. However, he had gained the power to make change. Unity was the primary goal of his campaign and time in office. The Inaugural Address, January 20, 1961, Inside Kennedy’s Inauguration, 50 years on, and Inauguration of John F. Kennedy all were documented to preserve JFK’s legacy, or his move towards unity in a divided country.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, better known as John F. Kennedy, was the 35th president of the United states one of the greatest leaders of the country’s ever known. Through his short, yet significant reign, he had managed to make numerous changes to the country and impacted the lives of American and people from around the world . In this paper, I will be writing about his personal life, how he grew up, and greatest accomplishments, and what made him one of the greatest leaders we’ve ever known. He was elected the youngest president, and yet still managed to great things, and inspire his people to do more and bring more impact to the others. John F. Kennedy was the son of Joseph Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald.

The 35th president of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was one of the most influential presidents in history. He was married to Jacqueline Kennedy and had two children, Caroline Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr. The president was loved by everyone, including my grandmother, Susan Krein. She was a senior in high school when JFK was president and when he was assassinated.

Kennedy called his domestic program that was known as the New Frontier. A program that was ambitiously promising to give federal funding for education to those with low income, medical care to the elderly so they gotten the best treatment. Even economic aid to people who were living in the rural regions of America as well as government intervention to help halt the recession, it was a period of temporary economic decline for all trade and industrial activities for farms and factories, causing income of profit in America to reduce. Kennedy had also promised an end to racial discrimination toward colored people. He told everyone this deal in his speech at the Democratic Convention, saying that not all problems are won through, just at many problems are not solved.

Though John F. Kennedy was only President of the United States of American for less than three years, his influence had a strong impact upon the direction and the opinions of the nation. We can especially see his influence on the nation through his Inauguration Address and his Civil Rights Address. These two addresses marked a turning point in the history of the United States and we continue to feel his influence today. His Inaugural Address, in 1961, expressed the goals he hoped to achieve while leading the country as President.

John F. Kennedy will always be remembered for two things- how his presidency started and how it ended. He dealt with many struggles and had to make life-threatening decisions. Trying to avoid a nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kennedy's final decision on the compromise kept everyone aroused. Kennedy is known for his famous inaugural speech that was watched by millions around the world. He asked them what they can do as individuals to better their own country and not what their country can do for them.

The man that changed the way the world revolved was Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th President. Lyndon B. Johnson never imagined he would take control of the United States after the assassination of the former President, John F. Kennedy. Johnson’s manners were known as more organized. He knew how to calm the people that were devastated over the death. He also knew how to handle tough situations.

John F. Kennedy was a well know person in the United States. He was America 's 35th President from January 20, 1961 to November 22, 1963. Sadly his life was cut short in a trip to Dallas, Texas. The gunman was later founded and arrested but never stood trial because he was later killed. FBI release that it was a lone gunman work but many people say that there was another person involved in another build.

President Kennedy helped many people. He was one of the most grateful and helpful person. The things he did to help America was something that most presidents didn’t or won’t do. Today, American citizens can work together and help out other people who need help. People should stop all crimes that are going on in the everyday life.

The world remembers John F. Kennedy today because his face was in the living room of nearly every American’s house from his campaign in 1960 until his death in 1963. Many people who watched the debates between Kennedy and Nixon on television would choose JFK as the winner, but those who only listened to the debate thought otherwise. This goes to show how charismatic and charming JFK was and how he was the first real president to win in large part due to his personality. The Kennedy family was borderline royal in America during the 1960’s and the young image of John Kennedy still lives in the minds of many to this day. John Kennedy established the modern day trend of American Presidents possessing a celebrity like quality.
