How Did Southernization Affect The Tang And Song Dynasties

First of all, land was a resource that contributed to cotton’s growth. As the war of 1812 came to an end, cotton planters moved to the western part of the U.S. (388). By the 1850’s, cotton production had grown from South Carolina to Texas. Moreover, labor was another resource that contributed to cotton’s growth. Slaves were the ones to get the cotton from the fields.

Between 100 CE and 300 CE, the Han Dynasty had set important cultural foundations, such as Confucianism, constant, which lasted even after the rule of the Dynasty due to literature. The cultural changes led to a period of peace and economic prosperity; however, the political changes, such as unequal control of land between the rich and poor, had resulted in the Empire’s collapse by 220 CE, and it led to the Three Kingdoms Period (ends in 280 CE). The interior government was corrupt because of the civil service exams and the outer court system. Wealthy people had taken advantage of their power in order to get power. The court systems and the elite class became more focused on the luxuries of ruling rather than the duties of ruling.

The Han Dynasty was known for their span over four centuries, their inventions, history, and as the Golden Age. The Han Dynasty is said to be the Golden Age because they were considered to be the ones that had the most scientific improvements and brought back learning to China. They were also considered to be the establishers of most of the Chinese culture today, that some people even created a word denoting someone that is ethnically Chinese as “Han.” The Han Dynasty had a substantial importance to how the Chinese culture is shaped today by both positive and negative improvements during 206 BCE-220CE. First of all, we need to learn a little about the Han Dynasty and how they came to be.

The Chinese found new techniques in Agriculture and farming rice. This allowed for more growth and spreading of population in the regions. As the population grew, people were interest in new jobs and careers in the markets. So, they sought out jobs such as shop sellers, blacksmiths, metallurgy, fishing, and government work.

Tang Dynasty(618B.C.-907B.C.)is one of the famous flourishing age. During this period the culture, technology, political, economy, and diplomacy are high development. In the four great inventions, gunpowder and printing were invented during this time period. The Tang Dynasty last for 289 years and it was reign by 21 emperors. Tang Kwok-hing and Li Yuan's son from the Taiyuan is the open-establishing themselves.

China, up until the Qin Dynasty, consisted of independent states controlled by kings fighting each other for land and power. This time period was called The Era of Warring States, which lasted two hundred years. After this time, the Qin Dynasty rose to power. They conquered all other dynasties, and established a centralized government, unifying China for the first time. The dynasty that succeeded the Qin, the Han, continued the centralized government and they started a westward expansion that would encourage trade and cultural diffusion.

During the Tang and Song dynasty, China made many new advance things like math,literature,technology,and science. These advancement gave many European empires to struggle for years. Their greatest inventions was the gunpowder,the printer and the compass. Here are some reasons of what was the Tang and Song dynasty greatest achievement of all time    First was the government. The government had to make important decisons that can change the community.

The Mongols had one of the largest land empires in history though this did not come easily to them. The Mongols had a large influence on both the political and economic systems of Russia and China for a period of time though in Russia, rulers still had control of their land and were left to rule themselves to an extent whereas in china the Mongols affected them more by controlling them

China traded their scarce product all throughout Asia via a route known as the Silk Road. This route was widely used by many other people as well; this led to cultural diffusion, the spread of ideas among different people. Document six states, “Cultural diffusion led to advances in many societies throughout the world.” China traded their new inventions throughout Asia and gained wealth but, China gave the people across Asia something in return, a chance to learn, grow, and prosper.

In my view, Li Yanshou’s answer to the legitimacy issue serves to support the Tang Dynasty’s legitimacy. The Tang Dynasty viewed the Northern Wei as one of its predecessors since it established itself by inheriting the rulership from the Sui Dynasty, the direct successor of the northern dynasties. That is why Li Yanshou introduces these subtle ways to show his support to the northern dynasties. However, the Northern Wei, as mentioned in previous chapter, did not have a predecessor to provide the legitimate rulership. Moreover, this dynasty is long ruled by the non-Han Chinese people.

Japan and Korea were able to advance their way of life due to the broad acceptance of the Chinese culture. The cultural exchange resulted from immigration and trade within the region of East Asia. Japan and Korea were very assertive in maintaining the relationship among countries within the continent which assisted in maintaining strong and consistent trading. Trade originated in East Asia as early as the first century. Trade in China began in the regions of Han; the downfall of the Han dynasty resulted in regional division within East Asia.

In Robert Marks’ “The Industrial Revolution and Its Consequences, 1750-1850” Marks goes on to describe the end of the biological old regime and the beginning of Industrial Revolution that mechanized the world. In the old regime, people’s necessities all came exclusively from the land. However, in a revolution powered by coal, surplus goods could be manufactured in industries. This allowed the population capacity of the world to increase and a different set of challenges unseen in the old regime to arise.

Trade in the classical civilization was a significant impact that shaped so much of the coming world. China was a strikingly impactful civilization when it came to trade. China used the Silk Road to trade, it connected China to the Middle East and Europe. China’s way of trade began a way for other civilizations to interact with one another. They traded all the goods that they produced such as medicine, silk, pottery, paper, gunpowder, gold, rugs, and more.
