The Rome army also helped the city become a success because it was drawn from the growing population of Italy and was renowned for being well trained, well fed, and well rewarded. Economic Comparison of the Han China and Roman Empires It is interesting to discover that there were two hugely successful empires, located thousands of miles apart that flourished in ways never seen before in history, and that, although there is some evidence that they were slightly aware of each other’s existence, the two societies did not have regular contact. Yet both empires achieved similar economic and political greatness and developed comparable solutions to the problems they faced. These empires are the Han China and Roman Empires, lasting from 753 B.C.E. to 330 C.E. Despite a steady trading relationship, Mesopotamian and Egyptian societies have very dissimilar views on life and the afterlife. Indeed, Mesopotamian civilization certainly had much stricter views of life and the afterlife. This is likely a reflection of the frequent nature of wars and violence in this highly urbanized society (83). As a result, their views of the fragility of their mortality seemed to be pessimistically realistic. They seemed to accept that their gods gave them this life and nothing else.

And this was true, in this essay I will show what great achievements and inventions happened during the plus minus 500 years from 27 Before Common Era, to 476 Common Era, in the Roman Empire and argue how these achievements and inventions still have influences in our everyday life and the modern world we live in today.
