In a time in European history, there was an era from the 5th to the 15th century known as the Middle Ages. The Middle Ages can often be referred to as the “Medieval period”, where buildings looked gloomy as they were made from gray cobblestone, and mankind was still in any idea of innovation, as they had no inspiration. Then during the 14th century, philosophy, art, and music were made exclusive, and became to some degree inspirational. Little did anyone know that was the beginning of a new era known as the Renaissance. Which was slowly but surely building a bridge which would lead the Middle Ages to the Modern Era.

The Middle Ages was a period that lasted from about 500 to 1500(OI). There were kings and queens, nobles, knights, and peasants (Doc. 1). People were treated and respected differently according to their class(OI). There were special relationships and responsibilities that everyone had. In the Middle Ages feudalism affected people’s lives economically, socially, and politically.

The best description of this time period can be represented by four terms, the Golden Age, the Dark Age, the Age of Faith and the Age of Feudalism. Each time caused for a significant change in society that had a tremendous impact. From the troubling times of invasions and destructions to a time of prosperity and progression, the best terms that describe the Middle Ages are the Dark Ages and the Golden Ages.

The penny, serving as the United States' lowest denomination, should not be abolished. Pennies are often ignored, or regarded as inconsequential in the grand scheme of life. However, considering the ties between the public's perception of currency and their confidence in the American economic system, it is clear that the penny is indispensable. It is both a vital part of economic transactions and a reminder of American history. The penny represents the metaphorical golden age of the United States.

The Labels of the Middle Ages From 500 AD to 1400, the Middle Ages in Europe have had three different ages. These ages are; the Age of Faith, the Dark Ages, and the Age of Feudalism. Europe used to be controlled by the roman Empire, but when the empire fell, the middle ages began which were full of change. They best describe the era because of invasion from barbarians, strong belief in religion, and a new economic and social system called feudalism.

This is true, but medieval culture was restricted to the church, such as the pope and clergy (Doc 11). What came out of the medieval period was good but the period itself was more dark than golden. In conclusion, the three best labels are the Golden Age, the Age of Faith, and the Dark Ages. However, the best label out of the three is the Dark Ages because of the death, corruption, failure, and the invasions.

The middle ages took place from 500 AD to 1500 in Europe. Many people say that the middle ages should be defined or renamed as the dark ages. However, there is evidence to support the claim that it should not be. The middle ages shouldn 't be renamed the dark ages because the documents given did not support anything about Europe during the time. Calling the middle ages the dark ages is inappropriate because the dark ages was a time period in Europe.

In the History Channel's documentary "The Dark Ages", the Early Middle Ages is portrayed in many ways that aren't consistent with actual history. The History Channel portrays the Early Middle Ages as The Dark Ages. The Early Middle Ages was not the actual Dark Ages because, the real Dark Ages was in Greece in 1100-759 B.C.E. when Greece collapsed. However, History Channel's, "The Dark Ages" was supposed to be around 500-1000 C.E. History Channel makes The Early Middle Ages appear as a gloomy, dark, "hellish" time. I'm class we discuss how The Early Middle Ages was a time of art, development, and education.

How humanism affected the Renaissance and Reformation The Renaissance was a big change in European society. It reintroduced classical culture and brought back their style of art and architecture. In addition, classical culture also established a new way of thinking; humanism. This unique style changed learning, art, science and politics for the better.

Humanism is the concept of being realistic, finding logical explanations to problems and questions, and the belief in people’s individuality. Another change that was different about the Renaissance is that everyone was focused on leaving a legacy. They lived to be remembered and wanted to do something that would leave a lasting impression on the world and the people in it. A

Humanism focus on every aspects that makes us human. In a time of rebirth after the crash of the feudal system emerged a time known as the renaissance. This time spanning from the 14th to the 17th century brought the emergence of humanism, this could be seen greatly in visual arts. Heavy centered in Italy centered in Italy then spreading to the rest of Europe a handful of artist starting displaying works of art that shaped and evolve art as we know it. The three main examples are “returning to the source” the study of Greek and Latin classics example “David” from Michael Angelo, human potential and secular rather than divine.

500AD This period in world history is seeing the "Ancient World" giving way to the "Medieval World". Apart from being a convenient differentiation to help us moderns make sense of the past, does this actually mean anything? Perhaps it does, in the Eastern Hemisphere at least. The Medieval epoch (roughly 500 to 1500) is a time of building on the achievements of the Ancient World, but also of moving societies in new directions, preparing the way for the modern world.

Renaissance Humanism was the period of time in which many social and religious systems were being challenged after the austerity of the Middle Ages. The idea of humanism is that individuals could define their lives and live happily on earth without constant worry of the afterlife. People of the Middle Ages were expected to have a duty to the Church, and not be interested in much else. Many people of the Renaissance were conflicted between the medieval ideas of faith and the humanist ideas of reason. Scientific study also advanced from medieval ideas during this time.
