This group member was a bit confused and didn’t follow the steps arrangement. He sometime forgot to support the baby’s head and holding the baby gently and softly. He didn’t pay the attention to the hygiene and started nappy changing on the cloths instead of changing sheet. He also putted the dirty nappy near to baby instead of keeping it away from baby. • SAMEER –
14.01.16 – 21.01.16 During this block I was given the opportunity to take floor book for the first time. As previously mentioned, I had difficulties communicating with some of the children in the nursery. I strongly believe my communication have come a long way since reflecting on them and this improvement was presented during floor book. At first there were over ten children but by the end of my observation there were only five including Jimmy. There was three teachers present, all female. The picture on the left shows the set-up of the entire room and the picture on the right shows the front of the room from the perspective of the students. If anything is difficult to see in the pictures, Mrs. Pollard has Orff instruments set up on the side, a piano in the front, and two desks in the back; which leaves a space in the middle of the room for students.

Mrs. Lauren always makes sure that she handles the children with love and care.
