Informative Speech On Holocaust

In history there was many events that were horrifying. The Holocaust was one of those frightful events. During the World War II, the nazis were the ones in charge of the Holocaust. Six million Jews, homosexuals, and gypsies were killed and the survivors had to live their life with fear. These writers use several techniques in order to convey the horrors of the Holocaust.

The Holocaust-related plays, movies and books that have been read and watched thus far in the semester have left us, the students, with more questions than answers. By depicting the events as accurately as these playwrights and filmmakers have, the reader/viewer is then able to understand, in detail, the horrific acts of torture that the victims had to endure. With an accurate picture of the events of the Holocaust in their mind, the reader/viewer then can start to question how can a human being can commit such horrific acts of cruelty upon their fellow man or how a divine entity can allow something so terrible happen to the people that believe in them the most; questions with virtually impossible answers. For instance, in Amen, the filmmaker focuses on the unwillingness of Pope Pius XII to speak out against Hitler and the Third Reich even though several reputable individuals made him aware of the extermination and the forced labor that the Jewish people had to experience.

Holocaust Reflection: Hierarchy in Concentration Camps When I think of the Holocaust, I think of constant fear, horrible genocide of innocent people, and terrible living conditions. For twelve years, people were imprisoned for their faith, political views, or where their love lied. When learning about the terrible tragedy in middle school, I was under the impression that every person held prisoner in the concentration camps was treated the same, inhumane way. However, that assumption is completely false. While exploring the provided websites, I read things that I had already learned about the Holocaust in middle school.

How did Hitler, a young innocent Austrian boy, become the evilest man in history? It all started with Hitler’s dream of being an artist. Hitler didn’t want to do any art he wanted to become a commercial artist. Hitler would submit his art to a museum but the museum would reject his art. After being rejected, Hitler joined the Nazis.

A young German boy whose name would soon become infamous was born on April 20th, 1889 in Braunau, Austria. At a young age, Hitler was already the student that everyone wanted to be. He thrived in his elementary school, had strong leadership skills and was considerably popular among his classmates. But it all changed for Hitler in middle school. The level of competition skyrocketed and Hitler lost determination.

The Holocaust was a depressing and devastating time in world history, that our society learns and teaches about today. This depressing time in history was lead by Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazis and killer of the Jews (“Anne”). He believed and brainwashed Germans to believe that the religion of the Jews was wrong, and all Jews should be persecuted for their beliefs. This forced all 300,000 Jews to fall under Hitler’s power and to be punished for their religion (“Anne Frank”). Persecution then came to Anne Frank, her family, and close friends.

There are many events in history but Holocaust left a permanent scar on the face of history. The event soaked in blood and tears of innocent would be unforgettable. Holocaust also known as Shoah (in Hebrew) was a genocide that took lives of millions of people from different backgrounds. Approximately 1 million Gypises were killed, 1.5 million mentally and physically handicapped people were victims of T-4 program, but Jews where the primary victims and 6 million Jews died in holocaust (Neiwyk and Nicosia). The Holocaust took place between 1933-1945.

In the memoir, “Night” is the story of a Jewish boy who experiences and lives through the Holocaust. Dehumanization is the process by which the Nazis gradually reduce the Jews to little more than “things” which could easily be gotten rid of in terrible with no remorse. Throughout this memoir one way Jews were dehumanized was by being treated with cruelty. The Jews were forced to watch their family members, friends, & own kind slowly die.

The Holocaust was one of the most devastating times for all of the world. It strained the world’s economy and resources; death tolls were tremendously high and injuries were severe. This was one of the worst events in our world’s history. For the 12 years that Germany was ruled by the Nazi Party, a central belief was that there existed in society, certain people who were dangerous and needed to be eliminated for German society to flourish and survive (Impact of the Holocaust).
